↧07. DRUNK
"Okay, I have one last curl and then we can leave!"
Tessa's room was a bit bigger than Molly's room, making it a lot more comfortable. She had tapestries hanging on the walls and posters from her favorite artists. She had a vanity where Tessa was curling her hair, and a dresser with a long full-body mirror leaned up against it.
Molly was checking herself out in the mirror, looking at the red dress that hung tightly to her body and her hair that was straight flat on her back. The devil horns on top of her head stood out with her hair, yet Molly had to fix them for the tenth time because they kept getting crooked.
Meanwhile, Tessa sat at her dresser, finally finishing her hair and putting the halo on top of it. She swiped her hair over her shoulders and got up from her seat and over to where Molly was standing.
They looked at each other, then themselves in the mirror and smiled.
"Damn...we look good," said Tessa with a confident tone which made Molly belly-laugh. Tessa continued to fix the bottom of her white dress and made sure every hair on top of her was in place. She fixed the mascara on her eyes before finally deciding that she was ready.
Molly by then was sitting on her bed, fixing the straps of her heels, patiently waiting for Tessa.
"Okay, I have my purse, wallet, and keys. I think we're good!" Tessa said, standing by her door as Molly got up from her spot.
They proceeded to walk downstairs where Tessa's younger brother was violently playing video games. Tessa had to pass the television to go say bye to her mother, while also getting yelled at for blocking her brother's game.
"Tess! You're in the way!" Patrick yelled at his sister, frantically waving his hand at her, before going right back to the game.
"Don't you have some friends to go trick-or-treating with? Or are you gonna stare at that T.V. all night?" Tessa remarked back at him which just made her brother grimace before continuing his game.
Tessa ignored him and said bye to her mother who complimented both her daughter and her best friend. Finally, Tessa and Molly were out the door.
Luckily, Tessa lived close to the house where the party was being held, so they walked. The moment they stepped on the property, they were being dragged in and complimented for their outfits by many of their friends at the party already.
People were already drinking on couches or the floor. Some were playing beer pong in the dining room and others were around the hallways of the house, leaning against walls with red solo cups in hand.
Loud music was being played and no matter where you were in the house, it still blasted through your head. Molly put a hand over her ear as she walked into the kitchen until she was handed a drink which she took gratefully.
She was surrounded by her tightest group of friends. Tessa was talking to Wyatt who was dressed as a cowboy, Kaia was talking to Molly and she was dressed as a cheerleader. From the looks of it, it was going to be a good night.
By the time Molly was on her second drink, her brother, Riley, came into the room, slinging an arm over her shoulder. He had a drink of beer in his hand too and he was talking to one of her friends. The music was so loud, she could only make out words or phrases of what he was saying, although he was yelling at the top of his lungs to the person beside her who she thinks couldn't really hear that much either.
