The year is 2003, the wind is blowing through your hair and the smell of flowers is flying through the air. You're getting ready for your last day at school until summer break starts. Luckily for you, you and your parents are taking a month's vacation so you'll get away from your small and boring town. You grab your Reese's puffs and pour them into a bowl before soaking them with skimmed milk, you look at the milk carton and see a picture of a girl smiling, she is beautiful but on top of the picture the words 'MISSING' is written in bold red lettering. You wonder if she was like you, if she loved soaking her cereal in milk, if she wore the same clothes, if she even sounded like you. But you'd never expect to go missing and end up on the milk carton...would you? The only people who ended Neither did Alison Dilaurentis.
Three months before she went missing, Alison Dilaurentis was the school's most popular girl in the private school, Rosewood Day that costs a fortune to get into but luckily for Alison her parents Kenneth and Jessica were filthy rich so she could attend private schools and get everything she wanted. Her hair was honey blonde and always was wavy no matter what style she put it in but most of the time her hair would be down resting on her shoulders, her deep cerulean blue eyes always shined bright no matter what day. She had a lithe figure with bow lips and a heart shaped face. Two years ago, Alison ruled the school with Naomi Ziegler, James Williams and Riley Wolf but she then turned on Naomi and Riley but kept James around because he was the 'bestest friend she could ask for'. After she ditched Naomi and RIley, she befriended four girls, Aria Montgomery, the school freak who had a pink stripe in her hair and always wore dark coloured clothes. Hanna Marin, who's gained tons of weight after her dad divorced her mom, Spencer Hastings who was known to be the teacher's pet and the smartest girl in their grade and Emily Fields who was the school's champion swimmer and was known to the town as the daughter of a town-hating woman.
Alison woke up to her alarm, her Cerulean Blue eyes shining in the sunlight whilst her honey blonde hair was laying on her shoulders. Alison's day started off the same, she got up and made sure to brush through her perfect wavy hair before saying, "I'm Ali, and I'm Fabulous!" She then applied a full face of makeup lips before picking out her perfect black heels to wear with her Rosewood Day uniform, as she buttoned up her shirt Alison kept focus before hearing a noise outside. "Hello?" she shouted but nothing, Alison quickly put on her skirt and heels before grabbing her blazer and tie and running down the stairs quickly. "Calm down Alison!" She heard her brother shout from the top of the stairs, he was probably high off the weed he was smoking the night before and his sleeping pills he had to take. Alison grabbed a bowl and poured some Reese's puffs before grabbing the carton of skimmed milk from the refrigerator and sitting down. "Hello Ali!" Jessica Dilaurentis, Alison's mother, said to her as she was grabbing her briefcase from the kitchen. Being the CEO of a range of clothing stores had its perks, mainly how much money Alison got to spend. "Aren't you going to be late? I'm sure an apple will suffice for breakfast." Jessica added, Alison looked down and nodded. "You're right!" Alison said as she poured the cereal back in the box before putting the box away. Alison then turned around and locked eyes with the girl on the milk carton, Sara Harvey was written in bold letters. Alison thought it was like looking in a mirror, apart from the brown hair and brown eyes. Alison tied her tie and put her blazer on before leaving the house.
"Hey Alison!" Mona Vanderwaal shouted from down the street, Mona was the typical dork in the 8th grade with her Harry Potter glasses, her two pigtails and her childish clothing full of colourful sweaters and ugly school shoes. Alison walked through the bushes to Spencer Hastings house, and saw Spencer standing by her parents car with her cool almond skin glistening in the sunlight, her long brown hair resting behind her. Alison was always jealous of Spencer, she never needed any makeup to look beautiful whereas Alison couldn't leave without a full face. "Hey Ali!" Spencer said with a smile, I guess how beautiful Spencer was always irritated Alison because she could easily overtake her in popularity but she wasn't letting that happen. "Hey Spence!" Alison responded before getting in the back of Spencer's mom's Porsche, being next door neighbours had its perks with the free rides and late night gossip.
The drive to school was long and boring for Alison, she sat there texting her best friend James on her phone whilst Spencer and her family were playing some sort of quiz game that almost made Alison fall asleep. When they parked up, Alison rushed out of the car and over to the rest of her friends. Hanna Marin stood there with her bleached blonde hair, acne and was a little overweight which Alison always made fun of then Aria was next to her. Aria was pale with long black hair with a pink stripe running across, Aria's parents told her to be herself which ended in a lot of hair dye. Standing next to Aria was Emily, she was the palest of the group with bright ginger hair due to her dad being Irish but there was someone missing. "Where's..." Alison started to say before turning around to see James Williams strutting into school with his older sister Marissa Williams who was the hottest girl at Rosewood Day, she was someone Alison aspired to be. "Hey!" Alison said to James before hugging him, "I cannot wait for our sleepover!" Hanna said to the group "Me neither!" Spencer added, smiling.
After school, everyone was heading to Spencer's family's house. They were lawyers and had the most amazing mansion anyone had ever laid eyes on, they had a renovated barn in the backyard that they were going to sleep in, fields that would go on for miles and an old windmill that Veronica Hastings insisted they kept. Aria Montgomery arrived first, she loved the smell of grass so she laid on the ground and started smelling it, "Are you smelling grass?" Emily said from behind her. "It's delicious Em." Aria responds with a little laugh. Emily smiles and then waves goodbye to her mom before she drives off. "Hey guys!" Alison says walking up to them in her field hockey uniform, she had recently beat Spencer in the try-outs for the JV spot. Her hair was in a messy ponytail but she then took her hair tie out and let her hair fall to her shoulders, it looked so perfect. "Am I missing anything?" Spencer said, walking to them from the barn, "Wait for me!" Hanna shouts tumbling over her tote bag. James' sister parked up at the mansion and James got out and walked over to them with a smile. "Hey guys." he said before hugging Alison, they had always been best friends since before the clique was born. "I can't believe it's summer already." Emily said to the group. "This school year has gone fast." Spencer said. "Maybe for you Spence." Hanna replied. Everyone laughed at Hanna's joke. Spencer was the smartest person in their grade due to the pressure from her parents to be perfect. "Let's get into the barn!" James said with a smile.
Hours flew by due to them gossiping about Crushes, Celebrities and for Spencer gossiping about how she got a higher grade then Andrew Campbell who she had been competing against since kindergarten. They looked outside and saw it was dark, Alison smiled and pulled a bottle of whiskey from her purse and she filled up a red cup that was on the table. "Let's drink!" she handed it to Emily who smiled and took a sip. "Wow Killer." Alison said smiling, Emily smiled and handed it to Aria. She started to drink a lot, Spencer laughed and said "Be careful Aria, drink too much and you'll tell us all your secrets." Everyone starts to laugh. "Friends share secrets, that's what keeps us close. Drink up." Alison said. Everyone started to drink. Three hours later, somebody screams causing Spencer to jolt up. "Alison?" she said quietly. She then walked out of the barn to look for her but when Spencer noticed she was gone, Spencer went outside to look for her. The rest of the girls started to wake up, "Where's Spencer and Alison?" Emily said. A dark figure appeared to be walking to the barn, "Alison?" Aria shouted. Spencer comes into light looking worried, "I thought I heard a scream." Days passed and police interviewed the girls everyday to see if Alison had contacted them but to no avail. Alison was officially reported as a missing person.
The group started to split when Aria and her family packed their bags and moved to Iceland due to her dad getting a better job there, the group separated into their own cliques. Alison was missing, presumed dead by everyone in the town.
