THE PRESIDENTs DAUGHTER
Chapter 1Life in this world is a great struggle for both the rich and poor. Everyone of us have a battle to fight but many a times you will see the poor wishing to be like the rich. Interestingly, the rich in one way or the other also wish to be like the poor. Oh yes! They wish to be because there are certain problems that the rich go through that the poor doesn't. We only think its only the poor that wants to be like the rich. Rich people fight for everything they desire but end up being failures when it comes to true love. I will prove that to you in the story you are about to read.
Juliet Ankomah Sey was lying on her bed though awake. She heard a knock on her door. She stood up from the bed, stretched and yawned. She walked lazily to the door and opened it. It was Doris, one of the female workers in the house. 'madam please, the president wants to see you' Doris politely said without looking at the face of Juliet. 'Okay. Clean my room for me' Juliet told Doris.
Juliet went to the hall to meet her dad. 'princess, how was your night?' Mr. Ankomah Sey asked her daughter. Father and daughter were locked in an embrace. 'it was okay dad' She replied. The president told her daughter that he was on his way to a cabinet meeting. 'what must i buy for my princess' he asked with a smile. 'anything from your heart dad' juliet replied. Just as the president was having the conversation with her daughter, one of the workers rushed to the scene. 'Mr. President, please your convoy is ready' he said. 'honey i will be back home in the evening. I have a good news for you' he said to her daughter and exited the room. Juliet rushed to her mum's room feeling angry. She entered without knocking. Mrs. Ankomah Sey was sitting behind her mirror and applying make up. 'who made my baby girl angry' she said without turning to look at her daughter's face Mrs Ankomah Sey knew her daughter very well. Anytime Juliet enters her room without knocking, her mother knows she was angry.
Juliet sat on her mother's bed. 'mum, when are the workers going to use the right words in this house. Why can't they say your dad is calling you instead of the president is calling you? Juliet said. 'darling, for crying out loud, your dad is the president and you have to get used to that' Mrs Ankomah Sey replied her. She joined her on the bed and put one arm on her daughter's shoulders. 'honey, your brother in Japan has shipped three v.i.p cars for you. In two days time your convoy of saloon cars will change to a convoy of 4*4 cars' Mrs Ankomah Sey disclosed to her daughter. Juliet's face lightened with admirations. 'you don't mean it mum' Juliet said with excitement. 'those cars are just a tip of the ice berg. Honey i will tell you more when we return from the meeting' Mrs Ankomah said and left her daughter in the room. Juliet rushed to her room, located her phone and called her friends to come over her house.
She called Benedicta, Antoinette and Stella. The ladies told her they would soon be in the house. When Doris was done cleaning Juliet's room, Juliet told her to inform the cooks to prepare breakfast for four people and bring it to her room. 'okay madam' Doris said and left Juliet's room. Juliet went to the washroom and had her shower. She was dressing when Doris knocked again. 'come in' She entered and told Juliet about her visitors. 'let them in fast' Doris went back to the hall and a minute later, the three ladies were all over juliet in her room. 'Juliet, you sound very happy when you called me. What has made you so elated this morning' Benedicta asked. 'Bene you are right. I was about asking the same question' Stella added. One of the cooks entered the room with a tray in his hands. He served the food on Juliet's mini dining table and left the room. Antoinette went to the fridge and served them drinks. 'Juliet don't kill us with suspense. Tell us why you called' Antoinette said and juliet giggled.
