28 : avoiding

“Jihoon, wait!”

His foot stopped as he heard someone called his name. Jihoon turned around and saw Hyejin walking towards him with a few files in her hands.  As she stood in front of him she gives a sweet smile.

“What's wrong, Hyejin?” he asked.

“Can you send this to Mr Jake? I need to go to the toilet because I have a stomach problem, please?” she pleaded with a pair of puppy eyes.

Please, say yes.

I don't want to see him.

Jihoon was mesmerized with her expression and nodded a little as an answer. Hyejin quickly excused herself and went to the women's toilet to make it looks real to Jihoon.

“What is wrong with her? Hmm, nevermind.” he knocked on the door and almost got a heart attack when he saw his boss opened the door from inside.

“Mr Jake, I'm about to send these files to you. Are you going somewhere?”. Jaeyun just nodded and said, “just leave it on my table, I will check it.”

Then, he left the office for awhile. Jaeyun has so many thoughts about Hyejin right now because he knows, she's avoiding him. He heard everything behind the door.

She is avoiding me?

Again?

This happen for a few days. Everytime they bumped into each other Hyejin will avoid him. When Jaeyun suddenly walked into the pantry she will stay for ten minutes and then excused herself. She do her work right, send it on time and left the room.

They never got a chance to talk. Jaeyun feels lifeless.

Hyejin was stirred her tea in the pantry. She was lost in thoughts and only stood there spacing out. She suddenly flinched when someone poked her left cheek and look at her side.

It's Sunhee who poked her cheek just now. She gave her a sweet smile while took a mug on the cabinet.

“Your face looks so good lately. What brand you use for your skin, Hyejin?” Sunhee suddenly asked her.

“What do you mean by my face look good today? I use the same brand and trust me it's been a long time since I went to the saloon.” she answered with a soft smile.

“I don't know but you look good today. It's like you having a great day lately. Something happened between you and your boyfriend, huh?” she asked with a teasing tone.

Hyejin awkwardly laughed because Sunhee is almost right. What happened few days ago was incredible until she can't forget about it because of Jaeyun's lips. She still could feels how he moved his lips on hers.

She is right.

And he was right too.

Kissing can remove anger and can make your skin glow.

Little did she know, both of her cheeks already turned into shades of red, like she just done exercise in the morning. Hyejin could feels butterflies in her stomach because of the embarrassed feeling.

Sunhee who noticed the changed of Hyejin's skin colour was shocked. Didn't expect to see this kind of reaction from Hyejin.

“Oh my, you are blushing hard! Calm down Hyejin, I'm just asking.” she caressed her shoulder to calm her nerves down.

“We are not a thing. You shouldn't ask in the first place, Sunhee! I'm trying to forget about it! Oh my gosh, I'm so embarrassed.” Hyejin covered her face with her palms.

“Ah, I thought... nevermind, I wish the best for both of you. He must be a nice guy, seeing your reaction by just thinking about him.” Sunhee patted her shoulder and excused herself.

Hyejin let out a long sigh as she picked up her mug and went to her office room. She bumped into Jungwon but the younger boy just gave a little smile at her.

What Jungwon do at his penthouse by the way?

She took a sip while walking towards her room and started doing her work. After an hour, she ready to print the files but suddenly her printer was ran out of paper. She squeaked in frustration while walking out from her room.

She went to the store where they kept the papers and files for employees uses. She opened up the door and noticed the light already switched on, that would mean someone is here. Her foot went to the one shelf where the put a box of A4 papers.

But, it's too heavy for her to pick it up. Hyejin kneeled down and tried to pulled it but her skirt make it worse.

“You know it won't move even if you pull it like that, while you wearing that skirt.”

Her hands stopped moving when she heard the voice. She hardly gulped on her saliva while fixing her hair, slowly turned her head around and saw her one and only boss.

“Err... it move a little bit...”

“Move aside young lady, I will help you pick them up.” he chuckled softly with a little smile, rolled his sleeves up and kneeled down to pick up the papers.

Jaeyun brings the box into her room and that's catching everyone's attention. Hyejin awkwardly smiled when they gave her such as shocked and confused face. She wished she can stopped him now.

He really is a jerk!

Stop smiling now!

Everyone is watching us!
