Wrenley stirred awake in her bed. She wasn't exactly a morning person but she tends to manage. After laying and staring at the ceiling for what feels like forever, Wrenley goes on her phone and checks her notifications. She doesn't have many it's not as if she's famous or anything she only checks for important notifications from her friends or family. She sighs and gets up to begin her morning routine until she heard.."Girls!!" Her mother called from downstairs. Wrenley has 3 sisters, Eisley, Florie, and Adela.
Eisley and Florie were fraternal twins them both being 18 while Adela the youngest was 13. Wrenley herself had recently turned 16 3 weeks ago and was the middle child. While she walked downstairs she wondered what her mother could have wanted. She decided not to overthink it and continued her journey down the stairs into the lavish kitchen. As Wrenley entered the kitchen she furrowed her eyebrows. Both her parents stood at the counter with sad expressions on their faces. " This can't be good." she thought to herself. Her thoughts were interrupted by her sisters entering the kitchen as well. " Why don't you girls take a seat." her mother soon spoke up. All 4 of the sisters took a seat in the dining room at the table with confused expressions on their faces.
Wrenley though maybe a relative has passed away and their parents wanted to tell them all together. But, nothing could prepare her for the words that would leave her fathers mouth. "Me and your mother are getting a divorce and you will be moving to the America's." Her father spoke with hurt and regret in his voice. It felt as if a wave of sadness had washed over here and her siblings. "Cad é an diabhal a bhfuil tú guys ag caint faoi?!" Her older sister Florie let out. ( " What the hell are you guys talking about?!" )
" This is such bullshit! Why do we have to start a new life in a while other continent just because you guys are divorcing?!" Wrenley snapped at the 2 adults standing in front of her. She could feel tears well In her eyes but she didn't dare let them slip out. She felt as if she couldn't be in this room anymore. She looked around towards her 3 sisters. Adela was crying with her face in her hands, Florie looked at our parents in disgust and sadness, while Eisley couldn't even make contact with either of the adults so she kept her eyes fixed on the table.
Wrenley couldn't move to America. She had built a life her in Ireland, how could she let it go so easily. All she could do was think and think and think. All the thoughts circulating in her head at once made her feel like her head was gonna explode until her mother spoke up. " Girls, we are moving next week so I think it's best if u guys begin to pack." Her mother spoke is a soft voice.
Wrenley didn't waste a second to go up to her room and leave the horrible envoirment that was left in the dining room.As Wrenley entered her room she began to weep and sob. Not only are her parents divorcing she's moving to America! She couldn't believe how things could change so quickly. She thought her parents love eachother. Maybe there were things her and sisters couldn't notice. Maybe it was noticeably that the marriage was breaking. Maybe if she found out the signs sooner she wouldn't hurt so much now. She though for a long while until she felt her eyes gradually get heavy. She gave into the temptation of slumber and slipped into a world of darkness.
