The door of the beloved home of the Parkers opened gently. "Honey?" Peter called out, his daughter strapped to his chest. "MJ?" He called again, a much larger shadow covered his form. "Yes?" Mary seemed to walk into the room just as Peter brought his guest in. "Oh." She paused, the big shadow looming over her husband- and baby was another Spiderman. Or specifically- Spiderman 2099. Though he didn't have his mask on, he seemed just as stoic. And grumpy. "Is this..?" Peter smiled, the same one she had fallen in love with oh so many times. And in so many other universes. "Miguel! The guy I've been telling you about!" He lifted May from his chest to his wife. She was going to say boss. MJ cradled her daughter, "And you took her to work with you. Again." He laughed, trying to clear the suddenly very solid air. He now realized he hadn't said a word about why this scary blue panther was behind him.

"He- needed a place to crash." MJ tried to smile at him, "Well, we have the guest room. Of course." She lightly pointed towards the hall. "I was just making dinner, so that'll be out in 10 minutes. Make yourself comfortable- Miguel." She turned back towards the kitchen. Peter turned back to his boss, "See? You'll love to crash here for a few days. We got a bathroom- homey neighbors- and look at that! May is already on the ceiling." The two looked up, seeing the girl crawl across the lighting system above. "And making another stain- Already!" Peter gave him another smile, hands on his fluffy robe. Miguel seemed to be less amused. "This way." The two spiders entered the hall, "Oh and there's May. And May again. And May in a Spiderman onesie." They had gone across at least ten stapled photos of the infant before Peter showed him his room. "Pretty basic. Covers- drawers.. If you can even fold your suit.." Peter laughed to himself, "But.. I do have some oversized shirts I never returned! And MJ's old maternity sweatpants."

The room became silent without the peppy father's voice, much too fast. "Well! Get settled! Stay as long as you need. I'll let you know when dinner's ready. MJ is an amazing cook." He headed towards the door, grabbing its knob. "Seriously.. Let me know if you need anything. I'm a knock away." Miguel watched him close the door, before sitting on the semi-comfortable bed. How had he gotten here? Got so pathetic he was dorming with the baby daddy Spiderman? He looked towards the drawers beside him. If anything he could just have Lyla send some from his apartment. The one he never visited. He slept in the lab, ate in the lab, and so on. Those nights, those feelings, those losses piled up on him fast. It was only a matter of time before something like this happened. And Peter was there to pick up the pieces. He was grateful, don't get him wrong. But help was still new to the futuristic Spiderman. And so was this.

A simple house, one meant for a family. MJ clearly decorated it, it was nice. Peter had a distinct decorating style, not to be called ugly- but Miguel would call it that. It reminded him of his home. His real home. The one he spent helping Gabriella with homework in, eating dinners at the counters in, and tucking her in. He hadn't processed enough of what happened that day. That was only stacked with his habits. Miguel slid a shirt on, it fit him a bit snugly. Most of his shirts had to be tailored back home anyway. He wasn't sure what he expected here. The sweatpants only showed a bit of his ankle. He did notice a Spiderman emblem on its thigh. Peter always did like sneaking his merchandise in here and there.

Just as Peter's knuckle arrived at the door, it was swung open. Showing a familiar-looking Miguel- only in sweats. "They fit! Dinner's ready." Just as they passed the framed pictures of May, one's Peter had previously shed light on (Maybe just a bit too much light). They heard the light knocking on the door. Miguel instead of sitting at the now set table, waited for MJ to answer it. "Scorpions not gonna come stomping through the door, Mig. Relax." Peter took a seat beside May's baby chair. His words did nothing to relieve Miguel, "Oh, I didn't know you'd be home so early- I invited a friend over." Peter looked down at his suit, "Uh-" "Don't worry about the suit, Honey." She opened the door, revealing the light rain to the house. "Looks like I won't have Barry track you down again." She told the stranger, "We'll dry off your raincoat, don't worry about it." Miguel stood there firmly, just as much as before. Waiting to see this mystery guest, see what danger they posed.
