(At the Pit (Day): No One's POV)
(Y/N) and Cyrax are walking on the bridge as they discuss (Y/N)'s theory of Quan Chi being hired by a Lin Kuei Ninja to exterminate the Shirai Ryu.
Cyrax: So you think Quan Chi was hired by one the Lin Kuei?
(Y/N): Yes. You need to help me find out who.
Cyrax: Even what you say is true, it doesn't change the fact that Scorpion killed Sub-Zero.
(Y/N): I know. He can be redeemed.
Cyrax: From what you told me and what happened back at the throne room, I find that hard to believe.
(Y/N): Scorpion would've spared Sub-Zero's life if weren't for Quan Chi!
Cyrax: What makes you say that?
(Y/N): I saw the look in his eyes. Scorpion was willing to spare his life, but Quan Chi intervened. He knew what he had done and broke our deals.
Cyrax: If so, then why continue finding out why?
(Y/N) stops as Cyrax continues.
(Y/N): Because I can't let Quan Chi and that ninja get away with it! I know you wouldn't!
This stops Cyrax.
(Y/N): You want to avenge Sub-Zero?
(Y/N) walks up behind him.
(Y/N): Then help me find out the one who's truly responsible for his death.
Cyrax stays silent for a moment before turning to (Y/N).
Cyrax: Who do you think it could be?
(Y/N): Someone ruthless and loyal enough to do it. Do you have any idea who? I know it can't be Kuai Liang, he cares for his older brother. And I know it's not Smoke, he's Kuai Liang's best friend.
Cyrax looks to the ground thinking of someone who could before looking back at (Y/N).
Cyrax: Sektor keeps trying to make me go through the Cyber Initiative willingly. He's proved to be merciless many times in the past. If he's given an order, he'll do it without hesitation.
(Y/N): Thank you, Cyrax.
Cyrax nods.
(Y/N): But are you willing to kill Johnny Cage?
Cyrax: I have to.
(Y/N): Why? You just need to eliminate him from the tournament, he doesn't need to die.
Cyrax: I chose to serve the Lin Kuei.
(Y/N): You have judgement and free will, Cyrax. Which makes you a great warrior and the Lin Kuei who are like Sektor don't have those. Will you surrender all that just for your loyalty to the very man who will turn you into something without those traits?
Cyrax: ...
(Y/N): The path you decide to choose from here will decide what you are. A warrior? Or a machine?
Cyrax stays silent and looks down.
(Y/N) walks past him to leave, leaving Cyrax in his thought of what to do next. But he senses a presence and looks straight ahead of him.
He sees Baraka who has his blades out with a four-armed woman in a very revealing outfit, only wearing a strap, a belt, gauntlet on her wrists and lower leg walking towards them.
