What were you supposed to do? Luke basically said that he'd do anything to get you back. It was honestly probably the nicest thing anyone has ever told you. Yes, you would still have to deal with the other girls and constant fear of him cheating on you, but he promised he would take you with.

On the other hand, you had your whole life in front of you. You graduated from university in a few months and had gotten many job offers from magazine companies. You were majoring in journalism. You had the ability to become whatever you want and take control of your own life. You wouldn't have to just follow Luke around the world while constantly being insecure and worried.

You knew what you had to do.

To Luke:
Can we please talk.

From Luke:
Yeah yeah of course. Where at?

To Luke:
Just come over to mine.

From Luke:
Be there in a few .xx

After what felt like ages, you finally heard a knock at your door. You reluctantly open it to find Luke standing there with weary eyes.

"Hey" he said quietly.

"Hi" you open the door wider, signaling him to come in. Then without a word, you walk over to you living room and take a seat on the couch, Luke following behind.

You take a deep breath, "Listen Luke-"

"This is it isn't it?" He interrupts you, his voice cracking. He was crying. "We're over aren't we? Goddamnit I'm such a screw up. Fück why do I do things like this" he cries louder and pulls at his hair. "I always mess everything up. Please don't do this." He looks at you.

You begin to cry too. "Luke this isn't easy for me either. Think about it. If you don't have me, you don't have to worry disappointing anyone while you're away. You can do whatever you want!" You try to make him feel better, but you were also cracking inside.

"Büllshit! I would only be disappointed if you weren't there with me! I don't want to be with anyone else! I don't want to look at anyone else!"

"But Luke I have my whole life in front of me! I have multiple opportunities to write for some very well known companies and you want to take that away from me because you want me to follow you around the world?!"

"I never said I wanted to take that away from you!" He vigorously stands up from the couch. "I am beyond proud of you babe. I am so so proud! Those opportunities will always be there for you when you come back!" He kneels in front of you.

"No they won't! I need to do what's best for me. Right now that is being on my own. I can't constantly be worried about what you are doing when you're half way around the globe. Who knows, maybe you'll find somebody that can handle that. She'll make you happier" you cry even harder.

"Nobody will ever make me as happy as you do. I love you more than anything y/n. I will never forgive myself for what I have done to you. I want to make this work. Please just try with me."

You get up from the couch and head over towards the door, opening it. "Luke I cant"

He then walks over to you, standing directly over you. "Please" his lips quiver.

"I'm sorry" your voice shakes.

He then leans down and kisses your forehead, lingering there for awhile.

He walks towards the door. "So I guess this is it"

You physically can't say anything so you just nod.

"Y/n. Before I go. I just wanted to tell you that I will always love you. I am sorry for doing this to you and ruining us. You are the greatest thing that had ever happened to me and I can't believe I let it slip. You are so beautiful and kind-hearted. I will never be able to find anyone that comes anywhere close to you. I will always be here for you. If you need something, I will fly across the fücking world to give it to you. Please just don't forget that. Don't forget me. Don't forget us."

You're crying the hardest you've ever cried. You couldn't even see because your eyes were so full of water.

"Goodbye Luke"

And with that, you shut the door and watch him as he walks to his car.
