Keiko's POV
Coffee solves everything or maybe dawn therapy does either way by the time everyone was awake I was back to my cheery self. Leaving myself to ponder all my troubles another night. I descended the stairs that morning with Ema to see Ukyo in a green apron with cats on it, setting the large table.
"Good morning." Ema called catching his attention.
"Good morning."
"It certainly is my wonderful siblings! Nice apron Onii-chan!" I smiled as I jumped down the last few steps.
"Thank you Keiko. Were you both able to sleep well?" Ukyo asked.
"Yes, thank you for asking." I neglected to answer letting Ema do the talking. Instead I concentrated on the food adorning the table. Ew miso soup...okay avoiding that but everything else looks great.
"Wow...Did you make all this, Ukyo?" Ema was impressed as well it would seem. I sneakily reached out to grab a rice ball but Ukyo smacked my hand away.
"Yes I am in charge of the cooking, you see. Which means no sneaking food prematurely Keiko." He scolded with a slight smile.
"Aw why not? It looks so good." I whined earning an amused smile.
"No."
"Don't you love me Onii-chan?" I asked with a pout putting my hand together as I gave him by best puppy dog face. His eyes widened before he swiftly turned away from me a light pink dusting his cheeks.
"Fine. Just this once but no telling the others. And I expect you to dish up the rice." I gave him a quick hug before grabbing a rice ball.
"Yum! I would love to help Ukyo!" I said eagerly.
"That's good. We have a lot of late-risers, so for today set out four places." He said consulting a chart pinned to the fridge. That's useful. I have a feeling Ukyo acts as the mother figure around here.
"Alright!" I said about to go help but the sudden arrival of a half asleep Wataru distracted me.
"Morning, Onee-chans." He slurred as he rubbed his eyes with a yawn. I think I might die from the extreme cuteness.
"So kawaii!" I exclaimed as I scooped my brother into a hug. "Ready for breakfast my precious Otouto?" I asked releasing him.
He nodded eagerly. "Yep! I'm so happy! You'll be having breakfast with us from now on, won't you?"
"Yes! Definitely!" I confirmed. "But first I have to set the table! Mind showing me where the plates are?"
"Of course Onee-chan! I know where everything is! Onii-chan taught me!" He said eagerly as he tugged me into the kitchen. I ignored the small pang of longing that Wataru's innocent smile brought. I waved to my two other brothers as they descended down the stairs as Ema greeted them. Yusuke still looked awkward as well as Subaru.
"What a rare sight. Yusuke getting up for breakfast." I openly snickered at Ukyo's comment.
"He sure does like his sleep. I remember once when he fell asleep on the roof at school and by the time I found him he was bright red and could barely move. It was hilarious!" I laughed. Ukyo smiled.
"I remember when he came home that day. He wouldn't tell us what happened." Ukyo said greatly humored. Yusuke glared at the two of us.
"Will you two bakas stop sharing stories! I don't need you all to know my business!" He shouted with an embarrassed blush.
