Keiko's POV
I awoke the next morning to an empty bed. Probably for the best, I took advantage and stretched out a lot like a cat would. The sun was out immediately brightening my mood. I smirked to myself feeling a bit mischievous. That probably didn't bode well for the rest of the household because in a mood like this I was sure to make today interesting.
Yawning I quickly plugged in my headphones feeling myself awaken completely as music blasted into my ears, much better. Tugging on blue jeans and a black t-shirt with '42-42-564 whenever you want to knock on Death's door' printed on it(if you get this reference I love you), I headed downstairs.
"Morning!" Tsubaki shouted from the living room as Ema walked down the stairs, me close behind. I waved in greeting.
"Sorry about yesterday." Azusa said to Ema. I furrowed my brows, how did Ema find out? Oh right Tsubaki said Subaru apologized.
"Also, we made sure to get revenge for you, so you can rest easy." Tsubaki chimed proudly, a mischievous glint in his eye.
"What?"
"It might have been a little harsh but he brought it on himself." I smirked when I saw Subaru's feet poking out from behind the couch.
"I guess I'm not the only one feeling mischievous today." I declared, my eyes glittering with ideas. Ema sent me a weary look, knowing how bad I could be.
"Um, did you do something to Subaru?" Ema asked avoiding my statement.
"Uh, yeah, but it'd be better if you didn't look."
"You do realize that just makes me want to look more right?" I spoke up.
"In that case..." Tsubaki pulled me down beside him on the couch. I glared at him lightheartedly before rotating myself so that my feet were in his lap and I was laying on my back. Both Azusa and Ema sent us a curious look.
"Good morning." I turned to look at Ukyo, I grinned when I saw him wearing the cat apron again. I want one. He was also carrying a basket of laundry.
"Oh, good morning." Ema called. I saluted from my place on the couch getting an odd look in return. When will they realize this is me being normal? "Are you hanging those out to dry?"
"Yes, if you would not mind, might I ask you to do it?" I leaped up from the couch as I clapped my hands together.
"I can help!" I chuckled to myself as I thought of which paint dye to use. Ema sent me a frightened look.
"No! I mean Kei, I can do it! No need to help." She said looking nervous.
"But I want to help Onee-chan!" I whined.
"NO." Everyone looked a bit taken about by Ema's stern tone. "Not when you're in one of your troublesome moods." I crossed my arms.
"When did you become my mom?" Tsubaki chuckled to himself but I glared at him efficiently shutting him up.
"Kei...last time you almost burned down the house." I pursed my lips at the memory. The brothers sent me weary glances.
"You're overreacting, besides wouldn't it be worse if I was left alone?" Take me with you!
Ema turned to face the twins. "I'm sorry about this, but if you guys aren't busy..." She sent me a weary glance. "W-Would you m-mind watching Kei-chan u-until I'm d-done?"
"Of course! Anything for my other precious Imouto!" Tsubaki agreed instantly hugging Ema. I shook my head as I resigned myself to sit on the couch next to Azusa. Maybe I can rope the twins into my shenanigans?
"Why does Ema seem so worried about you being on your own today?" Azusa asked me. I smirked.
"Apparently when I'm feeling more mischievous, I can get a bit out of hand. And I can't exactly disagree." I admitted albeit proudly. Azusa was about to speak again we were both tackled and pulled into a group hug by an overexcited Tsubaki.
"This is going to be so much fun!" And that ladies and gentlemen is how I ended up spending the morning gorging on junk food, joking around and watching anime with my fellow Otakus. All in all they did a good job distracting me, I suspect Ema gave them some tips.
It was later in the afternoon when I dragged Ema to the video store. She only let me out of the house because I claimed it would burn some excess energy. Little did she know I'd already left some surprises around the house, I'm stealthy like a ninja!
"I'll get this one." Ema said snapping me out of it. She was holding up a cooking book. My eyes locked on the delicious stew on the front.
"Sounds good to me!" I followed her to the check out but she suddenly stopped.
"Fuuto?" I swung my head to follow her surprised gaze to see Fuuto in the movie rental section, wearing sunglasses oddly enough. He quickly marched over to us at the sound of his name.
"Don't call out my name in a loud voice, you stupid woman!" He hissed quietly at Ema. I narrowed my eyes at him. "What're you going to do if the other customers figure it out?!"
"Would that be a problem, O'dearest Otouto?" I asked innocently catching his attention. He sent me a warning look as I stepped away smirking deviously.
"Oh my god! Everybody look it's Fuuto!" I squealed in an overly dramatized fan girl voice, it was easier to pull of then I'd like to admit. By the time Fuuto managed to slap his hand over my mouth it was too late and everybody was aware of the idol in our midst. Success!
"Sheesh, now I can't take my time browsing because of you." I licked his hand causing him to spring back in disgust.
"Worth it." He scowled and handed me the large stack of movies he was carrying.
"Take responsibility and rent all these for me. I'll be waiting at home." And with that Fuuto Asahina has left the building, literally. I look at Ema who looks sorta upset. Great now I fell guilty.
"Look Em, you head home okay? Sorry about this, I'll rent the videos for him and see you soon okay?" I said gently.
"Are you s-sure I c-can..." She trails off as I send her a look. "Alright, see you at home."
It took me awhile but I finally managed to rent those videos and buy some new CDs. I can't wait to play with them, maybe make some new music of my own. I walked to my room eagerly at the thought. If course I'll have to return these videos to Fuuto first.
"You're late!" I groaned at the sight of Fuuto leaning against the wall beside my room's door. "How long were you going to keep me waiting for some rental DVDs?"
I shrugged. "Could have saved us both the trouble if you'd just sucked it up and bought them yourself." He scoffed.
"You're the one who shouted out my name in the store." He growled.
"I saw an opportunity so I took it, sue me." I retorted nonchalantly. "If it makes you feel better I'm sorry to have caused us both the trouble."
"If you think an apology will get you off the hook, you couldn't be more wrong." He seriously didn't consider that an apology? It wasn't exactly sincere. He suddenly leaned in close to my ear much to my unease. "As punishment, I'm going to have you do all sorts of things for me. In your room."
An involuntary shiver raced up my spine at his tone. What the hell have I gotten myself into?
