Oikawa had a crush.
It wasn't some cute girl or boy or someone in his year at all.
It was Hinata Shoyo.
There wasn't any huge reason he liked him. He thought Hinata was amazing at volleyball, he had a fun, spunky attitude, he was straightforward and cute, and he was fun to play against.
He couldn't let it distract him though. Crushes were this thing in shows that were cute, but were actually really annoying to have. He was just going out to do a snack run because his had been stolen by his no good sister. He was mad about it, but had to get more.
It was a few days into summer. She had stolen his soda too, so he got a couple more because of how hot it had been getting outside. He checked out, exited the store, and sat down to each some of the chips before his sister stole them all. (A/N: siblings. Aren't they a joy?) He just opened the bag until he noticed a very memorable orange haired spiker walking by.
"Chibi-chan? Is that you?"
"Don't call me that!" The orange haired boy turned around, and he was right. It was the one and only (I wish there were more, he's so precious) Hinata Shoyo.
"Oh, Great King! Hi, how are you?"
"I'm good! Did you run too far again Chibi-chan? I don't think anyone going to Karasuno live all the way over here."
"No, I was going to visit my girlfriend for the weekend"
Ouch.
"She said to said she lived near here, but I don't know where I am. Do you know your way around the neighborhood on Blackburrow street?" He finished.
"Of course I do, Chibi-chan! I live in that neighborhood. I can help you get there."
"Please do!"

They talked a bit on the way over, getting to know each other better. He told Hinata he was getting snacks cause his sister took them. Hinata told him he had a sister too. Natsu, a 10 year old, was apparently spunky as well. They kept talking until they reached her house and exchanged numbers on the way there.
"This looks like how she described it! Lemme just text her.... and she said she sees me up front! Thanks Great King!" Hinata said.
"Please stop calling me that Chibi-chan! I don't like the name." He said with a pout.
"Only I'd you stop calling me Chibi-chan! I hate it just as much."
"Fine, I'll call you Sho-chan. Better?"
"Better, Oikawa-kun!" He said as he walked up to the front door.
"Bye, Sho-chan!" He said walking away.

"Hi, Kana-kun!""Who was that Shoyo? A friend?"
"Yeah, he helped me get here. I got lost."
"Hmm. Alright. I'll have to thank him next time I see him. Y'know Shoyo, when you hang out with people as attractive as that, you give me a heart attack."
"Why?"
"Because I'm out of your league. You may leave me for someone like that!" She replied dramatically, posing.
"I would never! Besides, if I was interested in someone else, I would tell you wouldn't I? You said you thought it would be nice to add a person to our relationship."
She sighed. "True. I hate when you have to be right and bring down my wonderful acting though."
