"....and 'ere we have bear root...hollyhock...rose hips...mortar... pestle....and HERES THE IMPORTANT PART...then we...hey...hey...HEY!"

your head jolts up off your thick wooden desk and your eyes immediately shoot open and glue to your professor. Your cheek was sweaty and sore from laying down on it for so long. Your teachers wide bright green eyes were squinted into a glare as she stared back. Your eyes quickly glance at the chalkboard and you realize you slept through most of her lecture. There were five very detailed plant drawings with identification notes and facts scribbled beside them, those notes looked important.

Your eyes quickly glue back onto the teacher. She then gently sets the chalk down beside her and crosses her arms.

"Did you have a pleasant nap?"

Your three other classmates turn their heads slowly to look at you. With your eyes half open, you nod. Not fully absorbing what she said.

"Great." The Professor hissed in her thick Irish accent while keeping a bright smile. "Cause we were just b'out to go and find all these plants on the board! Hope you heard everything I said while nappin' "

Your three other classmates slowly turn their heads back onto the board.

Your teacher then turned her body away from you and picked up her chalk to continue writing vigorously on the board.

Your eyes wander around the "classroom" you are in. It's really just a spare storage room the castle maids quickly cleaned out to suffice as a classroom. All the walls but the one connected to the hallway are made of old exposed brick and the one wooden wall was dull and dark. Cobwebs nestled in every corner and dust collected on the walls. There wasn't even any windows. However there is a small shelf beside the chalkboard that heald many colorful alchemy books that gave the room a bit of colour. Though it wasn't too noticable due to the room only being dimy lit by candels.

Your eyes stop wandering as you suddenly hear the rough scratching of a pencil on paper beside you. You look down and you see Oliver writing down on a piece of paper from his notebook.

"For me?" You whisper to him

Oliver doesn't move his head but instead his bright blue eyes snap over to you. He looked at you through his long stringy black hair and gave you a slow nod like it was obvious. He then continued writing.

When he was finished he slowly turned the paper towards you. "Why try to be the royal alchemist if you aren't gonna pay attention to the professor?"

You roll your eyes and you turn your body towards Oliver before you begin speaking to him.

Even though you guys have been friends for so long, you still can't comprehend his beauty. Oliver had a strong face and is skin was smooth, pale and cool toned like frosted glass. His hair was straight and black, it reached down to his elbows. The most captivating part of his face was his defined cheek bones that almost sank in a bit too much. His eyebrows were full and rested low on his face which made him look angry... And his eyes... His eyes were the brightest blue you had ever seen. And they were piercing.

His lips are full but devoid of color and his face is clean shaven, Though you're the only one who knows that because he often wears a black bandana covering the lower half of his face. It doesn't affect his way of life because he is mute. You don't know why he became mute but he's made it a point to you in the past that he doesn't want to talk about it.

Another thing people don't know about Oliver is that he's kind of a dick, he knows you well and likes to tease you for the way you act. Nobody else dares approach or speak to Oliver because of his looks and when people discover he's mute they usually use it as an excuse to avoid him. Which is a shame because you think he's a peach.
