It would be almost a full week before the next attack happened. You had almost given up on it, but thankfully as you were dropping off your mail one day you saw it, the butterfly. You knew it would touch down right in the middle of the street you were on. You bolted. The streets were crowded because nobody knew there was going to be an attack just yet, people eye'd you weirdly as you ran and then you heard the screams. Everyone on the streets began to scatter, going into buildings, shops, other cars. Just trying to get out of the way. Not you, you kept running down the street, with every step you felt closer than ever to making a discovery.
You felt tingly, the rush of your adrenaline took you all the way till you found a metro station, pulling out your pass you quickly scanned it and got onto the next subway train before they shut down the tracks due to the attack. The metro was heading west, the furthest the better. Eventually after reading the signs at every stop you got off on the third one. You prayed that seeing the butterfly gave you enough time to give you a head start. Who knows where Chat Noir was when the butterfly dropped down into a person, who knows if this is even where he was going. You pulled out your phone and did a quick google map search to find the way to the museum. It was the first one on your list and really the farthest west you could be in Paris, the Musée Marmottan Monet.
Not the best place for a hiding spot, there was barely any plants around, only a few trees and a wall of bushes growing on the inside fence. You decided it would be better to hide in the bushes rather than out in the open. The fence around the building wasn't that high, so you used the cement foundation as a stepping stone to help you over. You hid in the thickest part of the bushes and waited. It took you a little over forty minutes to get here, in that time Chat could have easily robbed somewhere else or Ladybug could have defeated the akuma by now.
You didn't expect to have your research turn out to be correct. To be honest you spent a lot of time on this, on the off chance he would even be here. You were mentally cursing at yourself, thinking only now, about how dumb this all is. You were surprised at yourself, why did you do all of this? Why did you spend hours of research just to hope to get lucky when you guessed? Why did you sprint down a Paris street during an attack, not for protection or to get somewhere safer but to put yourself in even more danger? And why don't you feel any part of your body telling you to go home?
Why did you want to be here?
You heard a rustling in the trees and glanced up. You saw his staff first before you saw him. The silver staff retracted into a small baton, he tucked it into his belt. You watched in awe as the black cat himself, stretched and walked towards the building.
Your eyes went wide, there was no way you just happened to get it right. There's over 200 museums in Paris and you landed it on the first try. You couldn't help but feel extremely proud, you were actually able to track him down and see him up close. Granted you were on the ground looking at him through a bush, but it was impressive nonetheless.
You pulled out your camera to make sure your flash was turned off. You wanted to snap a couple pictures of the infamous criminal for your blog, knowing full well that this was going to make you blow up again. No one has ever got a photo this close to Chat Noir before, let alone during a robbery. You couldn't help but smile, this was going to make Alya explode.
You saw Chat Noir hold his hand in the air and say something out loud but you were too far to hear. You watched as black dots swirled around his hand, as soon as he touched the wall to the museum, it was gone, both the black dots and the wall.
You gasped and went to go take a photo, you looked at your screen, blinked, then looked again. He was gone. You stood up and looked around trying to see where he went,
