The bar

The familiar sounds and smells surrounded Alexander as he stepped into the bar. It was the same one he worked at, but tonight he was free from duty. Still, he wanted to be there tonight. He knew Thomas Jefferson would be performing there tonight and he wanted to get a front row seat.

Thomas had been performing at the bar for the past few weeks. Every time, Alexander had been working and couldn't properly focus on the show. He could see glances of the man moving on the stage and his melodic voice, but other people at the bar bothered him. Tonight would be different though. Alexander had put on his best clothes, a black jacket with dark green jeans. His shoulder lenght hair was hanging free and messy. He had even put a little bit of black eyeshadow on. He fit well into the audience, which was filled with people dressed similarly to him.

Alexander ordered himself a large beer while he waited for the show to start. He found a free spot near the stage, which was good enough. He had a perfect view from there. The bar was otherwise dark, but the stage was lit by colorful lights. There was pink, yellow and even green. They made an interesting light combination, but it seemed to work well.

There was a faint sound of generic rock music playing in the background as they waited. The bar usually played alternative music instead of remixes of pop songs. Alexander found that people who came here, were usually more well-behaved than in other bars he's worked at. And even now, people were just drinking and dancing but no barfights were in sight. Alexander sighed to himself and turned to the stage. Thomas' crew was setting up his things, which meant he would come on soon.

Alexander knew how the gigs went. First the crew set up the instruments. Then, his backup players came on. Thomas himself came on without a bigger spectacle, just announcing it over a voiceover and then some smoke came on. And even though Alexander had seen it many times, it was special every time. Thomas was a natural at performing and his charisma was nothing like Alexander had seen before.

His thoughts were interrupted when he heard Thomas' voice through the speakers. "Are you ready to fucking rock?" The crowd answered by yelling. Alexander did too.

Smoke filled the stage and the sound of an electric guitar was heard. Suddenly Thomas came onto the stage through the black curtain in the back. He was wearing a loose black sweatshirt and tight, black jeans. His hair was open and his perfect curls were almost covering his eyes. The chains he was wearing jingled as he jumped around the stage with his guitar. Alexander stared at him, his eyes glimmering. His heart was beating faster, though he wasn't completely sure if it was Thomas or the alcohol kicking in.

Thomas started singing and his voice was so melodic and soft. His speaking voice was a little raspy, which was also nice. But when he started singing, Alexander felt like he was in heaven. After a couple songs, Thomas noticed Alexander in the crowd and gave him a flirty wink. He kept glancing at Alexander throughout the show after that. The show was so much better than Alexander thought and having Thomas notice him made it so much better.

The show ended and the crowd started to leave. Alexander stayed in place, knowing Thomas would go get a drink or a few. This could be Alexander's chance to properly talk to Thomas, because before he only served him. And as if someone had read his thoughts, the singer himself came out from the backstage. He smiled as he walked over to Alexander.

"Hey. I see you're not working tonight," Thomas spoke softly.

Alexander felt his face turn red as he looked up at Thomas. "Yeah, I had a free day today. Wanted to come see your show. You're amazing."

Thomas chuckled and pat Alexander's cheek. "You're so cute. Maybe I should offer you a drink this time, since you always serve me drinks."

"But that's different-like I work here. But uhm I'll gladly have a drink." Alexander smiled widely. Thomas nodded and both of them walked over to the bar. Thomas ordered them some shots and a margarita for himself.

Alexander had already drank the beer so he could do a couple shots. Thomas started with the margarita. "So, how'd you like the show? You said it was amazing, didn't you?"

"Oh yeah. You're like...the best singer I've ever met. Shit, I can't believe you offered me drinks," Alexander laughed. "Does manager know about this?" he teased.

Thomas waved his hand and sipped his drink. "He doesn't need to know. I can look after myself." He smirked. "Besides, I deserve some alone time, don't I?"

Alexander smirked back at him with a nod. "Definitely." He leaned back on the bar stool and almost fell. Thomas managed to wrap his arm around Alexander just in time to save him. They stared into each other's eyes for what felt like a minute. Thomas' eyes were a rich brown color and Alexander could get lost in them. "Shit, you have pretty eyes..." he whispered.

Thomas blushed at the compliment and pulled Alexander back onto the stool. "Gee, thank you...I really like your eyes too. I have a thing for brown eyes." He sipped his drink again, trying to hide his blush.

"Really? Thanks-I'm not as hot as you though. You look so sexy on stage but also off stage! Obviously."

Thomas cracked a smile to Alexander. He finished the margarita and moved onto the shots. Soon, they had finished the shots. Thomas laughed drunkenly, leaning on the bar. "Hey Alex...can I kiss you? You look sooo hot right now."

"Kiss me?" Alexander grinned and leaned forward. "You don't even need to ask, hot stuff," he giggled and kissed Thomas. The singer answered to the kiss passionately. They made out there for a moment until Thomas pulled away.

"Wanna go back to my hotel room?" he suggested. "I have a big bed and fuck...I need you really bad."

Alexander nodded eagerly and slid down from the stool. He had sobered up slightly, although he was still drunk. "Hell yes I do. I need you too."

Thomas grabbed Alexander's arm and they left the bar, taking the taxi to the hotel.
