Day 28

Flashback started
Just like every other state, Gongdul was attacked by a force of demons as well.

"We have been attacked by the demons!", The King of Gongdul announced, his voice reaching to every corner of the palace. Taehyung who was standing near his father, widened his eyes in terror while the guards surrrounding the crown prince and King, gulped in fear but stood straightly.

"I want all of you to give your best and protect your state with all your might. Give whatever it does to save your land", the King spoke and with that the guards bowed and dispersed to their duty.

Though before Taehyung could leave, his father stopped him. "Taehyung", he mumbled abd Taehyung quickly turned around.

"Yes, Father?", he asked attentively.

The King signed in distress and Taehyung noticed the worried frown on his father's face. He got confused, yet concerned.

"Look, my child. Things have gotten pretty worse. Despite of a bloody battle going outside, we are being tricked as well...", The king's voice trailed and he looked at his with eyes full of sadness.

"W-What do you mean father? Which tricks?", Taehyung asked impatiently.

The King signed, "A trick that is beyond our imagination, Taehyung. A trick that is too much destructive and it targets the crown princes of every vampire state. These demons didn't attack on each state, jusr for a bloody battle. No. They attacked for a much bigger reason. They want to break apart the empire of each state. These demons are either possessing or taking form of the current Kings of the states. Some are even successful in their plan but some aren't. Like the demon here isn't yet successful to either disappear me or possess me. Since the crown princes of each state, are higher and powerful in their ranks as compared to the recent Kings, the demons want to finish them and lure them to no where but destruction and misery. They are taking forms of recent Kings so that they can rule the vampire world indirectly and maybe at some point, finish you and the other crown princes as well. . . "

Taehyung's heart dropped upon his father's words. He didn't expect it to be this bigger. This was such a big freaking plan.

"Then what are we going to do?", Taehyung asked the obvious and his Father smiled sadly.

"Don't worry son, we can stop this. Not entirely but for the time being. You, the other princes and all of your soulmates, are the only people who can stop this because from you all, a much powerful generation of vampires will start. However, I'll take care of myself, you go and take care of your grandmother abd sister. Donot let anyone harm them", The King patted his head while his each word got imprinted in Taehyung's heart. He felt nervous and frightened. He wasn't weak, it was just, all of this was new for him, very much new. He was awe-struck and started mentally questioning himself if he could even stop this or not. If he was worth it or not. If he was powerful or not. All of that ate him up.

His father noticed his anxiety and put a hand on his shoulder.

"Taehyung, Kings donot fear anything. They protect and fight for their nation. Donot let your darker side take over you. Right now is not the time for it. Go, your people, your sister, and your grandmother needs you".

Taehyung looked into his father's eyes and nodded with determination. Though he was quick to ask, "What about you? What if something-"

"Don't worrt about me son. I'll protect myself because it is very much needed", The King cut him and nodded at him assuringly.
