Dark, Desolate, Depressing.
That was the perfect way to describe Izuku Midoriya's life post awakening his quirk
And the day it all began, the day his father left his mother over the phone sending her into a spiral, the day he turned 4.
Despite being so young he could remember the days beginning vividly.

21xx/15/7 - Izuku's fourth birthday.*Beeeeeeep* *Beeeeeeep* *Beeeeeeep*
A loud monotonous sound echoed through a dark void for not even a second before it stopped by a thunk.
And soon after a light appeared in the dark void only to reveal a small room.
There wasn't that much to describe about the room, it was what you would expect curtains covering the window, a small desk next to the closet, and a bed with a small nightstand next to it... well that and the ungodly amount of all my merchandise inside of the room as well.
This particular day there was something else of note, something strange, a small, pale, dark haired boy, who looked like he hadn't slept for a while sitting upright on the bed.
The boy sat still for a second, as if waiting or listening for something, before slowly removing his blanket from stop him.
And then the boy, slowly but surely, tiptoed across his floor until he arrived before the door of the room.
He reached out for the door and...
*Creek*
When you heard the noise the boy stopped dead, frozen in his tracks, and staring through the small crack of the door he waited for a few moments.
He could see unusually well in the dark for some reason.
After realizing nothing was happening the boy fully opened the door making sure to not let it hit the wall, before shuffling into and across the hallway not taking the risk of closing the door behind him and letting create any noise.
He needed to be perfectly quiet for what he was wanting to do.
Taking a look around the boy didn't notice anything out of place.
Both the kitchen and the living room down the hall were empty, and the front door was still locked.
Looking back down toward the other end of the hallway the boys eyes landed on a door that had a small plate hanging on it reading [Mommy and Daddies Room]
The boy looked at it for a second before, once again, tiptoeing his way to the door.
And soon enough the boy stood facing the door all his previous bravo on his face lost.
His palms were sweaty and his toes were curling, his breathing slightly quickened as well.
He turned his head, looking at the door to his bedroom, it wasn't to late to turn back.
He shook his head, he had already come this far and he was too excited to fall asleep so, in his mind, this was all he could do as he wouldn't tolerate just waiting on such an important day.
"Come on you can do this!" The boy whispered to himself trying to gain some confidence.
"Huuuh" exhaling the boy grabbed the doorknob and slowly opened the door.
Luckily enough it didn't creek or groan and soon enough the door was open, the room it once hid now in full view.
It was almost identical to his own just larger and with less All-Might memorabilia, a t.v, and a computer.
