caterpillars or butterflies?
to be honest, i don't know. i used to enjoy caterpillars because they're so cool! they have many legs, and they crawl for food. i even read the famous book, the hungry caterpillar, but still i don't know.
i like butterflies. they have many colors, and each color represents something. even the bluest butterfly, it really isn't blue. that's just its reflection from the sun.
but im terrified of butterflies. i imagine their wings like dragons, and their little legs like ants. i wouldn't want an ant crawling all over me.
caterpillars are also scary. the way they move. there's a reason its an animal, and not a human. even with their transition to a butterfly, its kinda scary.
but at the same time, amazing and sacred.
i don't know if i like caterpillars or butterflies. can't i like both? why is it so wrong to even like both. i don't wanna favor one over the other. so i guess i like both.
i like both.
but people seem to hate that i like both. they say things like "you need to choose one." but isn't it like saying "an artist needs to paint with one color"? artist needs many colors to complete the canvas.
so just like the artist, i will choose all the colors in order to complete my canvas. i do not care if blends into other colors, it is my canvas.
i will paint caterpillars and butterflies. i will lay it on its nest, and let it spread its wings within the wind. its all just experimenting, so there is nothing wrong with mixing colors.
