It was Sydney's time of the month, and she usually never got cramps. But recently, her cramps have been terrible. But not just her stomach pains; she also had major headaches and mood swings.
Ringo was afraid. It was like he awoke the beast, which wasn't true at all, really, because Sydney was so sweet. It was just when she got annoyed that scared him.
"Hi, love." He said to her as he sat down on the couch next to her cautiously, staring at her intently as she read her book with her hand wrapped around her waist, pressing into her stomach tightly with her forearm as she winced.
"What's wrong?" He put his arm around her, caressing her shoulder lightly with his thumb.
"Nothing-just stomach pain." She blushed.
"Oh. I'm sorry, love. Is it because of the thing girls get?" He smiled gently.
"Yeah." She giggled.
"Oh, well, I hope you feel better. Let me know if you need anything." He told her, kissing her cheek.
"Thank you, Rings." She said as she put down her book and hugged him.
They laid down on the couch, Sydney's head nestled into his chest, her hands placed there as well, his hand on her hair, stroking it delicately as the other was wrapped around her waist loosely.
Ringo looked down and saw Sydney wince, curling up, tears filling in his eyes as her fave contorted in pain. His heart hurt for her.
"Here, I heard something. Could I lift up your shirt a bit?" He asked her.
She looked up at him with a confused smile. "Um, sure?" She giggled. He thought she was so strong. He read that period cramps were sometimes as bad as a heart attack. He applauded his girl. He could never smile through the pain that she had to go through. He gave her a slightly sad smile.
"It's not anything weird, I promise." He told her.
He lifted up her shirt a little with her assistance, and he placed the hand that was wrapped around her waist on her stomach, caressing her upper stomach with his thumb.
His hand was very warm. It felt good.
"That feels a little better! You're a miracle worker. What are you secrets?" Sydney asked him in awe as she tucked a loose piece of hair behind his hair.
He blushed at not only the comment but also the spine-tingling gesture as her fingers touched the back of his ear that had the bare skin. "Just something I read in a medical magazine." He shrugged, smiling.
"Well, thank you." Sydney smiled, kissing him.
"You're very welcome, Syd. Anything for you, my love." Ringo kissed her back gently, not wanting anything to go anywhere just because of the situation.
"I wonder what else helps." He said aloud.
"Well, there's a hot compress, working out, and....um..." she raised her eyebrows.
"Oh, we can't do it on..." he started.
"Um," she blushed, "in water?" She shrugged.
He picked her up bridal style and placed her on the ground, getting off the couch and once again picking her up bridal style, carrying her into the bathroom.
"Wow, you're very keen on doing this." She grinned.
"I just love you so much. And I want to take your pain away." Ringo smiled thoughtfully.
"That's reasonable." She giggled and returned a face grateful smile.
He put her down once they got into the bathroom.
"Tub or shower?" She contemplated.
"Hmm...shower. The tub will have water spill out of it." He reasoned.
"True. We'd be thrashing around like sharks." Sydney smiled.
"Speaking of sharks, you go in the shower first. We don't want a massacre happening." He joked.
She did as he said, and he soon followed in after.
He pressed her up against the wall lightly.
"Is your stomach ok?" He asked her, caressing it lightly.
"Just fine." She grinned wildly.
"I love you so much." He pressed his lips against hers.
"I love you too. More than ever." She confessed after he pulled away.
What a fun way to brighten the week....
