The USA household was starting to wake up. The smell of coffee wakes some states. The oldest states wake up first. The sound of talking is the perfect white noise. It was soothing . Sinking deeper into the comfort of this moment. Minnesota tried to wake up on their own. The calmness in the house wouldn't let it though. It was admittedly a strange morning no one was being loud, you could hear an actual breakfast being made instead of just some cereal. So Minnesota continued to rest. Someone would have to get them eventually. That someone ended up being one of her roommates Oregon. They just got shuffled around again. At first the rooms were sorted by region but that didn't work for long (too many fights). So they got moved alphabetically, which also didn't work too well. So finally for the time being they were sorted by age.

"Minnie come on, it's time to wake up!" Oregon shakes me awake. My eyes open slightly due to the bright lights in the room. "Ok,ok I'm up now" I hit his hand away. "Dad made breakfast down stairs when you want to go downstairs." Oregon says with a smile then he leaves. I share a room with Oregon and California. We all are pretty close in age and I help cali with her wildfires. I always tend to have water on me and it helps soothe him. I look around the room and it looks as if a line has split the room in half. Oregon and California share one half of the room. It's easier to have them share than one of them sharing with me. It's somehow a lot colder on my side so both of them don't love sharing a side with me. My side has snow stuff in a bin. Some posters are on the wall, mainly Viking posters or ones about lakes and a map of the Mississippi River. I got up and put on a pair of shorts and a t-shirt.I exit my room to see California chasing Texas down the stairs. The loudness from the morning is no longer missing. Spread around the living room are groups of states talking and goofing off. I go to join my group of midwestern states. Five minutes later dad shouts over all of the talking "It's time for breakfast everyone. It's eggs, bacon, and pancakes. Go sit down at the table.".
Everyone goes to take their seats. It's chaotic as always. People trying to get to their seat fastest and just 52 people (states+D.C and USA) trying to sit down typically isn't all that calm. As people begin to eat, dad talks about today's plan and goes over the rules. Today dad goes to work and comes back by dinner (about 6). The rules are the same as always: 1. Don't set anything on fire in the house
2. Don't get into fights with others
3. Don't leave the perimeter. By the time he's done taking most are done and are waiting to be excused from the table. He tells everyone that they can go as long as they clear their plate. After dad leaves for work, states disperse around. I leave to my lake hideout to draw. It's one of my favorite places to hang out. Every once in a while I'll see a loon if I get out early enough. It's very peaceful when you want to hang out by yourself. I love it.
As I approach my lake hideout I see people standing around. As I get closer I see who it is: Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Michigan, and Wisconsin. "Hey everyone! Umm.. why are you at this particular lake?" I asked hoping I didn't sound too suspicious. " Oh we wanted to talk to you and hang out. You seem to come here a lot so we thought you wouldn't mind too much." North Dakota says cheerfully. "Plus we didn't know you found a lake and we wanted to see it!" Michigan stated. Everyone else nodded along. "Minnie why don't you show us your favorite parts of the lake and we'll all chill here today?" Wisconsin asked. "Sure sounds good!" All of my siblings lit up. So I started showing them random things.
5 hours later
We are all laying down on the sand by the lake. The Dakotas fell asleep along with Iowa. Michigan and Wisconsin are playing cribbage. I'm drawing a sunset. This is nice. However I don't think they will ever leave this place alone. I'll just have to find another one. I have checked everywhere though and this is the only one. Maybe one's close to the perimeter. It wouldn't be the end of the world if I found one. Plus as a bonus no one would find it. It's not like it's hard to sneak out ethier. Only a chunk will notice I'm missing and the few people that would notice are usually easy to avoid.
I think I have my plan.
Hello everyone I hope you are doing well! You can call me cake, cake bread, or chip. This story may not get finished due to me being a bad writer and not finishing fics. But as long as that ongoing thing is on I'll still make stuff. This is heavily MN centric. If you couldn't tell. Please make suggestions on who to include more. Make sure to take care of yourself and have a good day/night. You are doing fantastic.
