"It's raining again..."
I uttered as I extended my right arm to reach the droplets of rain while my other arm gripped the umbrella. As the rain continuously touched my arm, I couldn't help but look at the gloomy sky. I could slightly hear the rumbling sounds of thunder. I wondered what was making the sky sad today.
Regardless of the reason... Rain brought me comfort. Rainy days never failed to embrace the soul within me as if it knew that I longed for them during sunny days. Others said that the rain brought sadness to life, but I begged to disagree with them.
For me, rain was the epitome of peace and home. Without the rain, flowers wouldn't bloom in a beautiful garden filled with butterflies flying around. Oh, I could totally write romantic scenes where the characters are dancing and cuddling in the rain!
See? Rainy days aren't bad. Maybe some people just had a bad day when the rain poured.
I felt chills all over my body when the cold wind passed by me. Good thing I wore a thick jacket kaya kahit papaano I got to refrain myself from freezing. I started walking back to the campus since I went outside to buy snacks for later's meeting. Well, honestly speaking, my friends ordered me to buy these, so we wouldn't starve raw. Whatever. I finished all my tasks.
I remembered what Gio said. "Kye, sorry! I couldn't help but shake my head and laugh.
Actually, it felt nice being alone for once. I appreciated my surroundings more. I couldn't hear my friends' arguments, so it seemed that serenity was with me for a while. It's like having a date with myself.
When I entered the campus, I noticed that small puddles were forming on the mud as the rain kept pouring. I shifted my gaze when I heard several laughs from a group of friends. I couldn't help but smile and feel a bit envious. Smile because I think cold weather also made them happy. Envious because if only my friends were here with me, then we would also be laughing together like them!
Instead of heading straight to our office, I first went to our classroom to get my things. When I arrived, three of my classmates were still packing their things until I was left alone. I didn't mind actually. The important thing was, they bid their goodbyes to me.
I then went straight ahead to the cafeteria since my friends asked me to meet them there. His bag was way heavier than mine! I really wouldn't hesitate to blame him if I hurt my shoulder!
I was still panting heavily, so she gave me bottled water, and I thanked her for that. Maybe I did that five times?
