Charlie's pov
Today is my first day back at sixth form, it's been a few weeks since I was shot, I need to get back to school, so does Ella, I appreciate everything she's done for me since the shooting but i need to go back to school even if I struggle, I'm not going to tell her because I cost her enough time out of learning, yes we worked from home but it's not the same . Ella wakes up kisses me and says " babe if you struggle plese let me help you, I know you want to do things on your own again but take it a day at a time". I do have a suprise for her tonight, she's still staying at mine for the next few weeks, in my draw I have a promise ring for her, I ordered it the day after I was shot, Daren somehow snuck it in without Ella realising. We go into, our first lesson, Ella takes my hand , I smile at her. I'm really struggling with my work, Ella sees this and says " would you like me to help you?", I say " no thanks I want to do this by myself", I eventually do it, Ella looks so,proud of me, I don't know why.
Ella's pov
It's lunch , I'm so proud of Charlie, he's done so well today on his own. I kiss him and say " babe I'm.so,proud of you, doing all you're work, you just need to take it a day at a time so I'm helping you for,the rest of the dqy, I don't care if it's more work for me, you need the help and I'm.going to give it to you". He pulls me onto his lap, kisses me and says " you really are the best girlfriend ever". Sixth form finishes, me and Charlie walk back to his. I can see he's struggling to get up the stairs, I support his bodyweight, he looks at me gratefully. We make it up to his room, a d he goes to his dray a,d pulls out a. Ring, he gets down on one knee and says " this isn't what it looks like, it's a promise ring, Ella I love you so much and one day I promise I will propose to you properly". He slides the ring onto my finger, and I say "and I promise I will say yes". We get on his bed, he gets on-top of me and we kiss.
