The party was on full swing.
I could barely hear myself.
Sienna had decided to throw a party.....again, just when all I need is peace and quiet.
Insert eye roll.
Second thing know about me: I love Sienna, I really do. But sometimes...
I sit on the couch in the living room away from possible contact and chase away anyone who dare to sit beside me.
I tried watching tv, but forget the sound I could barely see what I was doing. It wasn't a smart move.
I wanted to use my phone but was seriously scared that someone could snatch it and run away. So there I sat, all alone, with no one to have fun with-
"What are you doing all by yourself honey?" Sienna says plopping down beside me
At least I was all alone.
"I'm not really feeling your party. Plus you invite the worst people." I say, grumbling the last part.
"You're just being a spoilsport." She mumbled.
Silence.
"So-"
I groaned.
"Don't groan to me, were going to have to talk about you and Adlai eventually why not now?"
"Noise, people, noise, germs -"
"Oh please." She rolled her eyes.
"Can we talk about this when I'm sober?"
I rest my back on the couch, adjusting my head so it's facing up.
"And how many of that stuff have you had tonight?" She asked, pointing at the bottle in my hand.
"I lost count after two."
"Hmmm. We should have a girl's night."
"The horror."
"Me, you, Nik and even possible Lucy!"
"Can't you tell she's not needed?!" I question.
For the past few days, after the day at the beach to be precise, Lucy has been a bit aloof to the rest of us for unknown reasons. And I'm surprised. Thankful, but surprised nonetheless.
"Cass, the less bitter you are the better for you. How was it said again? Anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person the die? Yes, that's it. All this pent up anger on Lucy, Adlai, Shawn-"
"And you, I'm angry with you for inviting each of them respectively."
"- and me, you should let it go. We'll talk more about this tomorrow. Speaking of Lucy, have you noticed she's been a bit reserved?"
"Yes, ever since that volleyball day. I thought she loved volley."
"Well if you see her before I do, tell her not to be a stranger, ya?" She said, standing up. " And go get yourself a room, you look like shit." She walks away to a group of people calling her over.
"I look like shit." I mimic as I stand up to walk, or in your words, stumble to my room only to find it locked.
Of course she'll lock it, do avoid unwanted people. Would have been nice if she told me before sending me off.
I groan internally as I search for an open room.
I initially walk to Adlai and Yaz's room but start having second thoughts as I didn't see Adlai downstairs s he might be in his room and we haven't spoken since the last time.
