Poem #5 - [What We Have Now]

That sounds nice, K
Coming from you, those words seem pure as day
And even that night when I met you
Had more light in than my life
It was just us for a while, composing music and writing lyrics
You made the melody while I strung the words together
The fact that we met each other during our darkest times
Interestingly spoke to me..somehow
We were both falling in our own voids,
but now we hold on to each other
And stand strong

After those two years,
who knew it would be four?
I still remembered when Enanan and Amia joined Nightcord
From there on out, it was just more and more pain
But still -- you helped them, K
Just like you're helping me
When Enanan was struggling with her art,
You saved her; You made her find you
And now she was with us
The same goes for Amia
When they were at their lowest point,
Your music pulled them out of that darkness
You've already saved two people, K
..And now you just need to save me, right?

I may not know what the future holds, K
but I trust you
I know you care about me so much,
We've bonded over music and such
And when you held my hand that evening, when I got sick
Your hand was warm to the touch
Did I just feel something?
I had already forgotten about the sensation,
but I couldn't deny that warmth itself
Ever since I met you
Ever since Enanan and Amia joined the group

We've been through a lot alone -- and we'd went through a lot together
But you're the reason why I'm still alive, K
I guess the others try their best as well
to deter me from my life, a nightmarish hell
So I wanted to continue

I want to keep writing lyrics with everyone in Nightcord
I want to stay with everyone in Nightcord
I need to keep writing lyrics
I need to stay with everyone
Everyone gave me hope to keep living,
especially you, K
I still can't understand my own emotions,
but if you're beside me I might have a chance

You've given me so much, K
Even Amia and Enanan mean a lot to me
But only because of the music and support
Everybody plays a part in the music
And that comforts me through that thick fog
As the mannequin-like strings were lifted off my arms
I finally felt free whenever I'm with you

I want to push forward, K
I'm tired of looking! I never find anything!
But as long as I can stay with Nightcord; if I can stay with you all
Because without Nightcord
Without you, K
I would be nothing.
