Two weeks passed in a whirlwind of quiet moments and secret smiles, but today, the tension in the air was unmistakable. Jennie sat on the edge of the bed, her hands tightly clasped in her lap, the weight of her thoughts pulling her down.

“Tae, let’s tell the truth,” she said, her voice soft but resolute.

Taehyung turned to her, sensing the shift. “Truth? You mean—”

“That we’re dating. Let’s tell our fans the actual truth.”

He studied her face, his brow furrowing in concern. “Jen, do you really mean it? You’re ready?”

She bit her lip, her eyes dropping to the floor for a moment before meeting his again, filled with uncertainty. “I don’t know if I’m ready, Tae. But what choice do we have? The rumors are out of control, and the last few days have been… rough. People are talking, and some of them… they’re angry. They’re hating on me.” Her voice cracked slightly, the vulnerability breaking through. "I’m scared of what might happen once we reveal it."

Taehyung moved closer, his heart sinking at the thought of the backlash she’d been receiving. “Jen, I know it's hard. I see the hate you're getting, and it kills me. But our fans—our real fans—love us. They’ll understand once we explain it ourselves. We can’t let the rumors tear us down.”

She took a shaky breath, frustration mixing with fear. “I want to believe that, but the things I’ve been reading… It’s like half of them are excited, and the other half are just… cruel. I wake up every morning dreading what I might see online. I'm afraid of the reaction, afraid that this might only make things worse."

Taehyung gently took her hand, his thumb brushing soothing circles on her palm. “I know you’re scared, and I get it. But we can’t keep living like this. Hiding, running, letting them control our narrative. If we keep silent, the hate will only grow. If we speak our truth, at least we’re being honest. It’s our relationship, Jen. No one else should get to define it but us.”

Her eyes shimmered with uncertainty, but beneath that, there was a flicker of hope. “You really think it’ll be okay? That they’ll accept it?”

He nodded, giving her hand a gentle squeeze. “It won’t be easy, but yeah, I do. And I’ll be right there with you. We’ll face whatever comes together.”

She took a deep breath, finding a sense of calm in his words. “Okay. Let’s do it. But we need to be ready for anything.”

“We’ll talk to our companies. Then tomorrow, we’ll go live together. 2 PM. If that works for you?”

Jennie nodded, her resolve slowly solidifying. “Yeah. Tomorrow, 2 PM. I’ll let my company know.”

Later that night, as the world buzzed with speculation, Taehyung opened his Instagram, his fingers hovering over the keyboard before typing:

“Tomorrow at 2 PM KST, I’ll be going live to clarify something important. See you then.”

The post went up, and they both knew there was no turning back.

“Jennie, are you sure about this?” Jisoo asked, her voice filled with concern, eyes soft as they locked onto her.

Jennie took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. “Yes, unnie. Taehyung and I have already talked it through.”

Lisa, sitting across from them, frowned, her worry evident. “But unnie, what if they start hating you again? You’ve seen what they've been saying. I just... I don't want you to get hurt.”
