"Can I go where you go?.....
.... Will we always be this close?"

The day started off boring, which was never the case in my life. When I woke up, I looked out the window of my family home and saw it was tipping it down with rain and was still dark. Great.

Due to the weather I decided to have a cosy and relaxed day. Let's be honest I needed it. And I went downstairs and made myself a big bowl of porridge with honey swirled in it. I sat myself in the big arm chair downstairs and switched the tv on as I waited for my brother Robert to wake up. My parents were on holiday atm.

It only took a few minutes until I heard thumping of a very clumsy person who wasn't me for a change walking downstairs. It was Bobby and he was surprisingly already dressed.

"Hello stranger, did you sleep well?" I asked him.

"What the feck are you doing down here this early with fecking porridge?" He said half laughing.

"Robert, I could ask you the same thing." I said rolling my eyes at him.

"Well if you really want to know, the boys will be coming round in 20 for a practice, we will probs go through to the sound room" he informed.

"Ok fairs, can I come in a bit later?" I ask.

"Uhh yeah sure, as long as you're not annoying." Rob said as he was already walking away from the room.

I was happy I was allowed in because even though my brother is younger than me by a year, Eli, Ryan and Josh were all my age! So this meant I was really good friends with them all, especially Josh. Ever since Josh was introduced to the band I was close to him, more than the other boys and I think it was because Josh is more like me and very patient and understanding. He also always stood up for me if the other boys or Bobby were trying to argue with me which I love about him.

I rush upstairs to get ready for when the boys came round, they probably wouldn't care if I sat there in my pjs, with messy hair, no makeup and smelling of shit but it's just nice to get ready for the day and feel fresh in my opinion. By the time I got downstairs, the boys were just walking through the door. When they saw me come round the corner of the stairs they all looked up and said "hiya y/n!" I smiled and said hi back. I walked straight to them and gave them all a hug and got to Josh last.

"Hey Josh, would you like a hand?" I asked as I looked at him somehow carrying all the others equipment other than Eli's guitar and Ryan's drumsticks.

"Yeah, please, thank you that'd be great!" He laughed in a kinda awkward but relieved way.

"Don't worry Josh I've got you, I wasn't going to leave you with ALL THE EQUIPMENT!" I said sarcastically, looking at Ryan and Eli as I emphasised "all the equipment".

Josh smiled down at me as I took most of the bags so that he could have a break.

"Thanks y/n, so much, I was starting to struggle" he laughed awkwardly as he scratched the back of his neck. A sweet habit ,I've seen him do it a few times.

"That's honestly fine Josh, yeah I could tell you were slacking." I laughed as I unzipped some of the bags that I had just plonked on the floor, they were probably twice my body weight.

As the band practiced I sat and just listened to them, it was quite therapeutic actually, other than Eli swearing loudly when he butchers a note whilst singing/ chord on his guitar.

I stood up and walked to the door. "Any of you boys want anything to eat or drink?" I say.

"Can you get us that huge bag of those party rings, I fucking love party rings!" Rob said enthusiastically.
