Once I'm done getting ready I go downstairs.

"Mama?"
"Mamma?"

I keep looking till I see a note on the table

"Dear y/n and Cassidy,

I was called for an urgent work event, I left 150$ in a check so you can get all the necessities you need.

Once again, she leaves and will probably not come back till the end of this month.

With a sigh I get my lunch I packed from last night out of the fridge and shove it in my backpack.

I glance at the cereal...

I'm not that hungry.

But Cassidy might be...

"CASSIDY!" I holler her name

I hear footsteps coming downstairs.

"Yeah y/n?" I look down at Cassidy, "you hungry?" She nods "yea a little, can I have some cereal?"

"Yeah sure, here's your lunch."

I grab another lunch pail and toss it to her while I make a bowl of cereal for her.

"Alrighty here ya go, eat up and quick too we can't be late for the first day of school."

After she's done eating, we both make our way to the shoe rack that's right beside the door to put our shoes on.

Once I finish putting on my sandals I open the door revealing Casey and Stacy.

"Don't you think it's a little to early for preaching?" I say sarcastically while they chuckle, "We're not here to preach silly, we're here to walk ya to your new school!" Stacy explains cheerfully.

"Yeah, and to kick anyone's ass if they think they can pick on one of y'all" Casey snickers which leads to Stacy elbowing her hard.

"Ouch!"

"Not in front of the kids."

Casey sighs and then looks over me into my house. "Where's ya guy's Mama at?"

I sigh then motion Casey out of the house, then lock the door.

"Probably in Paris or something."

Casey looked back at me in slight confusion, "why is she over there for?"

"My Mama is a journalist so she has to travel a lot leaving me a Cassidy alone most of the time."
