"He knew" (Discontinued)

Chapter 1: Delkira

The first few chapters will be about Delkira's POV on everything that happened why he was in the human world in the first place and why he hasn't come back yet to the netherworld despite promising that he will come back sooner.

For as long as I can remember, I have left the throne far too long than I should be.

I've been here in the human world for at least 14 years or so, I was only curious about the humans. I didn't mean to leave that long. I usually visit this world because I wanted peace, the Netherworld is full of chaotic demons, they're noisy as hell, they are always looking for a fight, they're full of desires and quite lively. I get pretty annoyed with all the noise and sometimes I can't find any peace since I get nagged by Sully and I had to finish the paperwork that I always stacked on my desk.

I once read a book about humans that I found in my father's library, according to the books humans are smaller than demons even babies, they look both fragile and weak, and they can't cast any spells meaning they can't use magic. I asked my father about them and he told me everything about humans. My father was now a former king and I was an heir meaning that I will the next demon who will be sitting on the throne once my father left. The former demon kings including my father knew about the human world and the humans themselves but the former kings besides my father had ever entered the human world, they only knew the humans by book.

But my father had entered the human world, my father was curious about the human world so he went to see what kind of world it was. According to him, their world looked more alive, it was more alive than our world he couldn't help but stare in awe, the humans however were exactly as they were described in the books. Weak and fragile beings, but they're quite intelligent and kind. My father once encountered a human, but the human tried to run because he was scared my father had grab their arm and reassured them that he won't hurt them, it took a while for the human to calm down and eventually, my father started asking them about their kind. I don't remember some of the details since they're quite long.

After hearing my father's explanation about humans and how they are, it got me curious about them, I wanted to know more about them, how they live, how they make things, how they interact with each other, anything. But since I wasn't allowed to go there, I waited until I became the demon king since it seems only they were the only ones allowed to go there, not even the 13 crowns are allowed to go to the human world without the king's permission. I kinda forgot the desire of going to the human world because after I became the demon king I got pilled up with paperwork and I was getting tired of the same thing so I decide to do things to enlighten my mood and to not get bored at all.

When I was doing the boring things (paperwork) I suddenly remembered that I wanted to visit the human world when I was a kid, my father showed me the way to get to their world and I will say the surroundings were pitch black but there was a light on the pitch black room, what's on the other side was the human world but I never went there yet so. Remembering what my desire was, I left the room leaving all the paperwork behind, I went to where my father showed me where it was, Before I entered the other side of the world I stopped and got nervous for some reason, I guess wasn't sure what'll be seeing on the other side and it was my first time going to the human world.

I shook my head and build up my courage to enter and go to the other world, and when I entered...I was shocked, I was in the forest when I entered, and the trees looks so alive even the sky too. The tree's colors are brown color, and leaves are greenish, and the sky's color is a lighter blue, everything I see looked so alive and...peaceful...so peaceful that it made me want to visit it even more. Because of that I regularly go there whenever I needed a quiet space, the more I visit the more I get curious, I wanted to explore its place and I did. I discovered so many things while exploring, the animals that don't have anything on them like horns, wings, etc.

Some fruits exist here that don't in the netherworld, the first fruit that I saw was an apple, a red fairly round-shaped fruit, it has seeds in the middle of the fruit. The fruit tasted so good! It was sweet but I liked the taste. The next one was strawberries, then blueberries, they all tasted so sweet, I picked some of them on the way home. And whenever I work, I just eat them while doing the paperwork.

I was in the human world sitting beside a tree as I needed peace, I stared blankly at the sky and then wondered, what are humans exactly like? I mean my father did already explain what they are and do but, I wanted to see it myself so I did. That day was the same day I left the netherworld to explore and find out more about the humans, I told Sully that I would be leaving, that I would be gone for a bit, but I didn't tell him where I would be and I promised him that I would be back. But that promise that I made with him will soon give me guilt once I remember it later in the future.
