The school bell rang, signaling the end of a long and arduous week for a group of diverse teenagers. As they gathered their belongings and shuffled out of their respective classroom, little did they know that their lives were about to take a sinters turn.
Amongst the students was Mai, an introverted bookworm with a penchant for solving puzzles. She hoisted her backpack over her shoulder and made her way through the crowded hallways, unaware of the fateful events that awaited her.
In room 205, the designated detention classroom, the air was heavy with the anticipation of punishment. The group of misfits assembled, eyeing one another with a mix of curiosity and distain. There was Jack, the rebellious troublemaker, whose constant run-in with authority had become a trademark. Beside him sat Olive, a timid but observant girl who preferred the shadows to the spotlight. Cameron, the class clown with a mischievous glint in his eye, took a seat not too far away. And finally, there was Louis, the overachiever buried by the weight of expectations.
As the minutes ticked away, the students resigned themselves to a day of monotonous confinement. But fate had other plans. Just as the clock struck 8:30 AM, Mai's keen eyes noticed something amiss. A faint noise, barely audibles over the hushed whispers, caught her attention. It sounded like a muffled cry for help.
Instinctively, she followed the sound to a concealed corner of the room where a large cabinet stood. With trembling hands, Mai mustered the courage to open it, revealing a shocking sight. A lifeless body lay crumpled on the floor, eyes wide open and a look of terror frozen on their face.
Panic swept through the room as the others students scrambled to Mai's side. Shocked by the gruesome discovering, they exchanged bewildered glances, wondering how such a horrid scene had unfolded the confines of their detention room.
As the realization sank in, a chilling silence settled over the group. The air crackled with tension, and the once mundane detention had transformed into a spine-tingling mystery. Questions flooded their minds. Who was this person? How did they end up here? And most importantly, who among them could be responsible?
