Your eyes hold mine,

I swear I could see sparks fly.
But the deafening silence follows,
My throat goes dry,
I don't know what to do,
I visibly swallow.
And when you smile at me,
My body shivers like a guitar's chord;
Yes, I do like you,
Only because I'm terrified to say the stronger word.
And I try to forget about you,
But our moments felt just right;
As if the memories have a heart that beats only at night.
It's 3 a.m.
I'm thinking about us & my phone beeps;
"Hey, you up? I can't sleep."
In a hundred lifetimes,
In a hundred different worlds,
In any version of reality,
It's you I would always choose.
But I think,
You weren't mine to lose.
But you taught me fate,
Said it would all be worth the wait.
Because not just a part,
You're the owner of my whole heart.
I dream about the day,
When you think about me and it finally starts to make sense to you,
