Part VI

When she arrived at her house, she heard her mother scolding her for being late, but she didn't show any interest and realized that any discussion would wake her up from the state she was in. She went into her room, took a deep breath, and wished that the night had not ended. After that, she changed her clothes and lay down on the bed, immersed in her dreams that revolved around Professor Omar and the romantic dance night.

Riham wakes up in the morning to the sound of her mother's screaming and crying, sitting on her bed and listening attentively. Riham realizes that she was late for her scheduled return time last night, and her mother is very angry with her. Riham hears her mother shouting, "You were late last night, why did you do that? We agreed on a specific time, and you didn't respect it!"

Riham tries to apologize and explain the reasons for her delay, but she feels sad and painful when she hears her mother objecting angrily, saying, "I can't discipline you. You were taking your music lesson and didn't respect the agreed-upon return time. I am tired of all this irresponsibility and missing deadlines. You need to adhere to schedules and respect the agreements we make!"

Riham feels sorry because she is the cause of the pain her mother is feeling, and she promises to commit to the agreed-upon schedules in the future. She tries to express her feelings and make her mother feel that she understands her and loves her.

Riham gets up from her bed and goes to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. She hears a whisper in the living room and goes there only to find her cousin Hassam sitting at the breakfast table, talking quietly with her aunt. Riham is afraid and embarrassed that her mother may have told him about her relationship with Professor Omar and her late return last night, especially since Hassam knows her as a well-behaved and respectable girl.

Hassam is a 21-year-old young man who is characterized by his playful and mischievous nature, but he doesn't have a clear goal in life. He lives an unstable life, but despite that, he can be relied upon in difficult situations, where he shows courage and patience in dealing with problems. He always tries to find the appropriate solutions to problems and help others, and he has an attractive and influential personality.

Riham sits at the table silently, lost in a sea of questions, and unable to face Hassam or look into his eyes. She asks herself, "How will he look at me after my mom tells him about my behavior and actions? How will he imagine me if he knew that I go to the home of a single man two days a week and he closes the door and is alone with me?"
