Snap
I look to my left but I can't see anything in the pitch black night. I can't see if I'm alone or if there is someone here.
I don't even know how I ended up here. One minute I'm in bed going to sleep, and the next I wake up in this clearing surrounded by trees and darkness. It looks so familiar...like I've been here before.
I feel a cold breath against my ear and I freeze.
"Save us Emily", an eerie voice says from behind me. I use all my strength to turn around. But there was no one. Or could I just not see them?
I hear a child's laugh, I whirl around.
"Hello! Is any body here? " I scream out. Oh wow, yeah Emily, if someone is out there trying to kill you of course their going to answer you. Stupid.
An ice cold hand is placed on my shoulder. My eyes widen. I want to turn around. I want to run. I want to scream. But I can't it's like my body just shut down.
"Emily", its barely a whisper but I hear it clear as day.
I turn around and see a woman wearing a long white dress. Beside her is a little girl, who looks about 9 years old, and is also wearing a white dress. By the looks of their clothes someone would think they were rolling around in a pile of dirt. There were holes in their dresses.
"Help... us.. Emily.."
"H-how do you kn-know my name?", I studder. I'm shaking in fear. There's a voice in the back of my head telling to just turn around and run, run until I can't run anymore.
They don't answer me, they just stare at me with bone chilling, creepy smiles.
Then suddenly their skin starts peeling, bone showing.
I turn and start running. I don't even know where I'm going but I just keep running. Pushing past trees branches, a few hitting me in the face but I don't stop.
I can feel warm tears running down my face. I'm scared out of mind and I have no idea if I'm going to live or if I'm ever going to get out of this forest.
"Emily, Emily, Emily", I can hear the little girl chant all around me. I stop and spin around looking in all directions looking for a light... for a way out. I run to the right but come to an abrupt stop as a tall, skinny man is standing in front of me.
"Where are you going Emily? Why aren't you helping us!", he screamed. I turned to run the other way but the was surrounded by the woman, little girl, the tall man, and another boy. There was no way out. No escape.
"P-please d-don't hurt m-me", I stutter backing up as they all moved forward, coming closer to me. They all have the same creepy smile plastered on their face. The skin peeling off of their hands and face.
A scream is released from my mouth as I trip over a branch and fall to the ground.
"Don't come any closer! Stop! Please!"
I close my eyes and cover my face.
"Emily, Emily... "
"Stop! Please! "
"Emily! Sweetheart wake up!"
I open my eyes and I'm back in my room, with my mom looking at me with worry in her eyes.
"Emily sweetheart, it was just a nightmare. You're safe. "
I take a deep breath and relax. Just a dream, it was just a dream. But I just can't get those faces out of my mind.
