Storm's body was numb.

Her mind was quiet again.

This was getting a bit too much of a habit. With things happening too much recently.

It bugged her.

It ate her inside out.

She left the bed and instead fell to the floor facing away from the door. The floor felt cold and foreign to her. This pack relied more on wood than marble, she rememberd most Alphas from the King's clan using marble in their homes.

In disbelief, she stared at the dark walls. The walls had no patterns and remained minimalistic. She watched them all while the oxygen in her system left.

She could not think straight, her brain going blank. The thought of a forbidden Alpha being mated to her made her shudder with anxiety. Good god, imagine that being your reality.

Imagine that is something you're actually destined to go through.

Bonkers.

For once, she felt fear coming back to her in 5 years.

The last time she ever felt fear was when she ran away and decided never to go back. That fear was related to survival? But this, she couldn't put a name on it.

Is it survival? Or is it something else?

She would've loved the fear if it was survival. But alas, even after bearly processing Nyx's words, the fear started to feel intimate.

Storm is always aware of the risks she puts herself into, no matter how stupid they can be. With every Alpha she kills, her chances of being alive decrease. It's an indirect relationship between both those variables.

But she accepted that as her fate.

She also knew one day she would fuck up. One day someone will catch her. If it were truly up to fate, she would surrender any wish to escape and accept whatever she needed to face because she is not a pussy.

She couldn't run away all the time, but she didn't know that moment would arrive too soon.

She figured it would take at least a few more years before she gets caught and executed, or tortured for the rest of her life.

Her freedom getting cut off coming too soon to her can never be accepted in her conscious.

Now, everything is lost.

She got mated to a myth. A story that no one knew was true and basically would only think of when fear becomes the new age of all packs. She got mated to someone who was more powerful than just a mere werewolf Alpha.

She got mated to someone who is a plague himself.

She belonged to the Devil.

Caressing her bandaged wrists, she felt invisible tears clog up her eyes, as the main factor of fear was playing a part in her emotions. It was bad. It was so bad. For a few minutes, she die not feel angry or frustrated about her circumstances.

Bile rose in her throat. Her palms started to sweat. Her breathing was abnormal. In horror, she watched her white hands, losing its pink hue with fear dancing on her flesh.

She was mated to him.

She was mated... to him.

No one knew the Alpha of the Knights' clan was the Death Lust Alpha.

No one knew he was the Alpha of the Shadow Moon Pack, the most unknown pack to mankind.

The name was fiction, his story was told to discipline children at night, and train pack members into ethical warriorship. His story was told to not be so bold in wars or else he'd be out to get you.
