Under the Moonlight

Chapter 3

"so, how was ' joining a club' go?" Heather asked once I stepped in the kitchen

"I got accepted, and the people there were nice, I like the atmosphere, the ambience is peculiarly good, so to sum it all up, it's a good package deal, although I haven't heard the name SHNASB before, but it feels oddly familiar to me, like tasting a new dish you haven't tried before but you can taste some familiar flavors " I answered while grabbing a pitcher of water from the fridge then poured some to the cup I grabbed from the orocan, all that cycling I've done made me drenched and thirsty

She just went silent for a moment

"That's actually good, but it somehow makes me wonder, schools won't let you enter a club if you're not from that education department, so it frankly surprises me when you said that you were joining a club earlier and thought that you were just kidding just to cover up your date with someone, that's why I helped you dress up to flaunt to that 'someone'" she reasons out

"I did not go on a date!" I blurted out, seriously...she always teases me about my love status, as if she even have a partner right now

"Did I say you do? I just said I thought you were trying to cover up a date, but I'm still not sure about it anyway" she states, which I only huffed in response

"anyways, I have to go to work now, by the way, I won't be around here for a whole week because we'll be having a business meeting to the head of Kang Techno Corp. Which is located in South Korea, so, it's just you and your brother for a while, so behave, and don't let your brother do things that could burn the whole kitchen or worse...even the whole house, and don't even give him ideas, cause I know you can be a great persuader to him"  Heather said while I just nod in response, well, to be honest, I felt a little sad, of course who wouldn't feel sad when the people you are close with will be far away from you for the meantime?

"Alright, I'll miss you though" I mumbled using my cute voice

"It will just be a week, you won't even notice the day, then I'll be back again here, don't worry, I'll bring you your favorite snack, and stop with that squeaking voice, it doesn't suit you at all" she  muttered with a little tease hinted in her voice while ruffling my hair, I hate that action

"Stop messing up with my hair!" I complained

"Hey, stop complaining, you won't get BALD even if I ruffle your hair at some times..." She trailed off still not removing her hand from my head

"I'm just massaging your head... a little aggressively you tall human" she followed then finally fixed my hair afterwards

"Whatever, just be home with the snack" I said which she only chuckles in response

"Alright, alright, now go take a shower and change your clothes cause you look perspirate right now" she states which leads me confused

"Perspirate?" I asked

"Sweating excessively" she explained which made me form an 'o' with my mouth, then nods my head and turned around to take a refreshing shower,  if I'm being honest, she actually have the highest IQ amongst us siblings, I mean, I couldn't deny it, considering that she is all on the top one ranking in every universities she went into, even her job right now, she ascended to the highest position of a high paying tech company in just three weeks, so, need I say more?

....

I get that I need a very refreshing shower to release some heat and sticky sweat off  from me, but this...this is too much, because...

"It's too cold!" I exclaimed loudly  as the cold water from the head shower starts pouring on my face down to the rest of my body

It is seriously cold, where does this water even came from?  Deep from the Antarctica? Or from the melted ice berks of Arctic?
