(A/N: Just a quick note, if it's not obvious, the bits in bold are supposed to be spoken in English. The rest is spoken in Japanese.)

It was just another day at Anteiku. Not may people were in at the moment which was a good thing for you. You'd not been working there for very long, about a week or so, and you still weren't accustomed to how things work there. You don't have a great past and you are still getting used to living as a normal person and doing things normal people do. What made it worse was that you're not the newest person there. Nishio had only been there for a few days and he was probably considered better than you. But, you still put a smile on your face and tried your hardest.

Just then two people walked in and sat down at a table.

"Dude, I don't even understand why we're taking a job in freaking Japan. I mean, come on. Japan?!" One asked the other in English. You didn't know much English but you made out the word Japan. He was shorter than the other and was wearing a leather jacket.

"Look, we're just here to get rid of a few ghouls. And you should be glad Castiel zapped us here and you didn't have to take the plane." The other responded. The only word you made out in that sentence was ghoul. This guy was taller and had shoulder length hair.

You just stared at them, wondering what two foreigners were doing talking about ghouls.

"Hey, [Last Name]-san, you should go take their order." Kaneki suggested, startling you. He's the one that's been nicest to you since you started working here. The others tend to shout at you more than anything.

"U-uh, oh yeah." You said, still a bit shocked. You walked over to the foreigners table awkwardly. Before you could say anything, the taller one gave an order.

"Two black coffees please." He said immediately going back to his conversation.

You tapped on his shoulder and said, "I'm sorry, I don't speak English." Hoping they could speak at least a little Japanese.

"Huh?" The same one questioned.

"They said 'gomen'nasai'. That means sorry." The other one pointed out. The taller one looked at him as if he were asking 'you know this how?'. You smiled and nodded to indicate that that was correct. "Let me handle this." He turned to speak to you. "Could we have two black coffees please?"

"Of course." You went back to the counter. "H-hey, Kaneki, please, don't make me serve foreigners again. That was so awkward." Kaneki just chuckled slightly. You made the coffee and took it back to them.

"So you learnt to speak Japanese so you could watch anime without subtitles?" The tall one asked his... friend? You caught the word anime and that made you chuckle a little.

"Yeah, got a problem?"

You placed their coffee on the table. They both said thanks and just as you were about to walk back, the shorter one stopped you.
