The petals on someone hand. As petals that they coughed out continued to come out from their mouth. How they begged the arching pain from their chest to stop but yet can't.
The mirror show a reflection of them who was once healthy but now of someone who looks frail. How their eyes gotten sunken in over these past few months. As they continue to cough out flowers and also blood...
They know themselves that they don't have much time but can't help question what is going with them...
"Y/n? Are you alright..? your quite pale these days..." Fu Xuan asked with a hint of worry in her voice for her assistant. Even the master diviner can tell something was wrong with how pale they have gotten. They merely shrugged off her concerns. "My apologies to worry you Madam Fu Xuan it's nothing i promise..." They spoke out in slight hoarse voice from the amount of coughing, hoping that it wasn't noticeable, merely reassuring her that they were fine. The master diviner was nowhere convinced about it and her concerns for them worsens as she lets out a frustrated sigh. She let it slide for now, knowing the fact stubborn her assistant was.
"If you say so but if i see you getting worse, I'm letting you take a break." Them hearing this. Just when they were about to argue with that but the master diviner stop them and they couldn't do anything about it.
Well the master divine was right. As much they hate to admit the fact. They started coughing out bigger petals and slowly feeling like the roots were deep rooted in their lungs, making them to feel like they can't breathe at times.
They were merely doing a small task but it was just pure bad luck that they had to deliver the documents to the the divine foresight where the general is.
The petals that they swallow into their throat, making sure that none of the blood or petals would come out. Their heart would ache at the thought or a mere glimpse of the general...
How could someone not fall in love with someone like him...?
Those questions and thoughts of him lingered in their mind in the past with how curious they were. Doing any task that would involve with the general just so they can see him....
That was merely the past... but now they avoid him like the plague, trying avoid him or any task that make them see him...
But i guess luck wasn't on their side today. They walk while holding onto the documents that Fu Xuan told them to deliver to the general while they pray that the general wasn't there.
Yet a part of them wants to see him and chat with him but yet it's hurts..
They opened the door after reaching the divine foresight to first see Jing Yuan yet hoping he didn't see them come in.
But his golden eyes locked with theirs, the moment they took a step forward. "Oh Y/n i assume your here to deliver some documents?" He said while he delighted that they were here because how dull signing papers were. He pointed at the stack of papers that they were holding. He paused for a second before analysing their appearance.
He took notice how sunken in how their eyes were not how he remembered in the past. How weak they look not as before...
He looked at them with concern. "You don't look too well...." He said with how genuinely concerned he was for them.
"Ah... General I'm alright don't worry..." They immediately reassuring him that there was nothing wrong with them and putting the stack of papers on his desk. But he can tell they were lying and that how obvious it was that they weren't fine at all. He decided to not dive deeper into it, respecting that they might not want to talk about it.
"I see...well then would you like to join-" They immediately cut him off, knowing what he would ask to join him for a game of chess but immediately answering that they would decline. "No thanks i think I'll pass..." Before Jing Yuan could answer why, they ran out of his office. The pain in their lungs became unbearable with him. He was slightly stunned before frowning because how they immediately ran off and they would always accept his invitation for a game of chess despite them always losing or always delighted to see him...
He can immediately notice of how reluctant they were to see him and always avoiding like a plague, he can't help but wondered if he did something wrong but nothing comes to his mind.
"Y/n...what has gotten into you...?" He whispered to himself yet with concern for them and wondering of why they were avoiding him.
They finally went home as those petals that they swallowed, they kept coughing out the petals and blood that they held in for the whole day.
Oh how time is ticking for them...
And knowing they needs to find answers for what was going on with them and why they were coughing flowers and blood especially with Jing Yuan.
(A/N: well there's going to be a part 2 of course-
Ngl this sorta doesn't make sense the more i write it...😭)
