"Uhhhh!!!" I yawned, finding myself wrapped up to my bed mattress on the floor. The alarm clock rang as I got up and cleared my hair from my face. I glanced through the alarm clock and notice it was 7:30 but since it's Saturday no need to panic. I headed down stairs to the kitchen to get a glass of water not noticing my Aunt at the dining room. "Debby...aren't you attending...class today it's Monday?" my Aunt asked, stuffing a slice of bread into her mouth. "Phhhfff!!!" I exclaimed. "Today...is Monday?" I asked heading to the dining room. "Yeah aren't you supposed to be in your uniform?" My Aunt asked getting up. "Oh my goodness!!! I exclaimed in surprise. Quickly I dashed into my room and got cleaned up. I headed down stairs in my uniform, nutting my hair into a ponytail hairstyles. "Aunty is the school..." I said interrupted by the note on the dining table."Honey I have gone to work the school bus will be here soon get cleaned up". She noted. I quickly headed to the kitchen got my jam and bread and started eating while preparing my backpack for the day. Suddenly I heard the school bus horning at the veranda and students yelling. Quickly I got up, grab my backpack and left for the school bus.
When I got in and I sat down beside Kate my bestie. "Hi kate" I said, as usual stuffing her face into her book, such a Nerd but I like it. I waved my hands over. "Ahhh!!!"she groaned. "What's up with you?" I asked. "Debby!!! I am having a history test this morning I need to read and need no distractions hmmm!!!" She said. "Alright fine read" I said adjusting myself. "Thank you" she said going back to reading. Suddenly I felt unconscious. I saw our bus being hit by a lorry. I got myself back and told the driver to pull over before entering the main road. "Stop!!!" The driver pulled over. "What's it Debby". Asked the students. Suddenly I saw the lorry passed by. "It...it's nothing" I said feeling ashamed. The School driver began the bus and took off. "Debby are you okay?" Asked Kate feeling worried about me. "Am...fine" I said getting down the bus.
2 hours later it was 5 minutes to break. "Debby". Miss. Lydia call me severally but I was lost in thoughts, thinking of what had happened earlier in the bus. "Debby!!!" She called again. "Mm!!!" I exclaimed. "What are you loading your mind with hmmm!!!?" She asked me. "Nothing... nothing I just..." I said being interrupted by the bell. "In our next class we shall have our English test" she said leaving. "Debby are you okay!!!?" Asked Kate holding a pair of book in her arms. "Am fine" I said leaving for the cafeteria.
I got to the cafeteria, got my lunch and sat down on a separate table. I kept stuffing my fork into my spag, thinking about what had happened earlier in school bus today. Unfortunately for me a group of bullies sat down with me, disrupting my lunch by adding more spice and pouring water on my face. It was so embarrassing as other students couldn't hold their laughter. "Hey what's wrong with you are you going nuts" I said to the three bullies. They turned back and one of the boys gave me a smackdown. "Hooo!!!" The students exclaimed. Suddenly every sound was echoing I looked right, and I saw a big red foot, jingling lion red looking tail. The creature swot and held my chin. I look at it and saw a red beast. I quickly refrained from it in fear. "Poor you don't you wish to do more?" It said. "Who... are... you" I said looking around and to call for help but no one was around to help. At that time I knew it was the devil.
I struggled to refrain under a table. Scared he might hurt me as his steps triggered me to call Kate, but my phone was unable to on. "Don't you wish you could do more harm than words to them". He said showing me the three bullies that hurt me earlier, having lunch at the other side. "Help me". I said thinking they could hear me. "Too bad you can't but I Debby can give you all you want, make them shatter like dust in the wind". He said as they were disappearing into dust. "Hm". I exclaimed trying to catch my breath. "Debby I have come to relieve you off your stress and worries. Your house rent and school fees is yet to pay and your Aunt monthly salary at the bakery isn't even enough to pay half of your school fees. I am all you have left in this world". He said as I refrained more from his upcoming shadow. "No I don't want you. You are evil. God is all I have and has always and is still providing for my aunt..." I said interrupted by his words. "In small quantity. Don't you want to be more than gold. I can make you more powerful than anything anyone can ever think of Debby". He said approaching more. "No...no". I said shivering. "Debby accept me...". He said interrupted by Kate appearance worried why I was under the table. Everything became normal. "What are you doing under here Debby?" She asked.
I got home that day sad and terrified of every breeze that passed by. I met my Aunt watching a scary movie, and suddenly he appeared on the tv screen again this time, I quickly ran upstairs leaving my Aunt in suspense. The next day as getting usual my Aunt had left for work and the school bus was no where to be seen. I got my bike and hit the road. After a little while, five bullies showed up at my back riding a bike. They blocked me from moving any further and surrounded me. "Hey little girl going somewhere" their leader said, giving them a go ahead look, to my relief but to my surprise, one of the grabbed my backpack and emptied it, pouring water on my books. "Haahaa!!!" They laughed. One of them pushed me to the ground as they started beating me up.
Suddenly to my surprise they began to hold their neck and I saw rings of fire on there neck. "Ahhh!!!"they all groaned. I took to my heels. When I reached the school gate. I found my backpack and bike at the reception, all books arranged. I got to class late that day and got home thinking of what might be of the bullies.
