Half of the patients except for doyoung, lucas, jungwoo, and the rest of the patients who are a part of this deadly game were fed with the drug desomorphine in their strawberry chocolate cookies—jaehyun's orders. So the event officially started when the highly toxic desomorphine pills began to take effect within three minutes. The effect began to take place when the drugged-induced patients (except doyoung), then began to have speech and motor impairment which is caused by them moving in a slow, shuffled motion with loud snarling noises coming from their frothing mouths. Because of the lethal amounts that were contained in the cookies, these patients skin's were rotting away in real-time and doyoung was the one who fell victim to this stomach-churning sight alone because the non-drug-induced patients got the memo and started to run away.
Once again frozen in fear, doyoung continued to watch the patients' physical appearance change for the absolute worst. This feels like a zombie apocalypse come to life so the raven-haired male was beyond traumatized and currently freaking out. The more the zombie people moved, the more doyoung could see the gangrene forming on the infected skin, damaging the sensitive skin tissues underneath, teeth automatically falling out of their heads due to some serious gum damage, and if he ever dared to come close, he would see the constricted pupils that give off a crazed look in their already lifeless eyes and also hear their wheezing breath that occurred due to immediate pneumonia that was developed. Yeah, that's what happens when you give a number of patients a lethal amount of drugs, 500mg of them to be exact. After all, the drug is nicknamed to be a zombie drug for a reason. doyoung had a feeling that he would puke if he continued to stick around so he ran up the stairs to the third story of the hospital and decided to hide in some random patient's room hoping that the zombie-like patients won't follow him.
His mistake.
doyoung slipped his way inside the room and closed the door without making any sounds that would trigger the currently infected downstairs. The male then took a deep breath finally having the feeling that he secured a safe hiding spot until he turned around and saw a patient holding a kitchen knife and pointing the tip of the knife to his throat. doyoung flinched and hitched his breath at how he is in close proximity to seeing the gates of the underworld. The unknown patient sing-song in a creepy manner,
"When the cat's away, the mice will play...when the cat returns, the mice are doomed"
Obviously, doyoung didn't want to die in the hands of a lunatic so he tried to negotiate with the player using a soft and gentle tone as he lowered the tip of the knife and slowly moved away from the person who has the only ill intention but to kill him,
"Please, you don't have to do this..."
The patient slightly pouted and looked down at the floor and answered with a child-like tone,
