Just a "Normal" Day at School..? || CynoNari

Part 5.1: Collei-Flower / Nari's House

CYNO POV: 

Time has passed, and it's now the second half of the school year. I haven't seen Tighnari in a while, since we haven't been hanging out. I don't know... I still find it weird how he doesn't look for me anymore like he usually did. 

*Sigh*... Why should I be bothered if he's not hanging out with me anymore? It's good for him to make new friends... 

Today I saw Tighnari hanging out with a girl, one that I knew well, fortunately!  It was Collei!

She has green hair and is really shy. She has this chronic disease which keeps her weaker than most, so Tighnari looks after her often; to make sure she's well. 

Maybe there was no need to worry. He was probably just taking care of her all this time... right? If this was the only case, I could let it slide for now. 

"Nari!" 

"Yes?" Tighnari replied, looking back at me with a smile. 

"Oh-oh! Hello Cyno! I-it's been a while!" Collei said happily, hugging me tightly. 

She's still as shy as ever, yet she didn't stutter or hesitate as much as she used to. I'm glad she's feeling safer, now that Tighnari keeps her company. 

"I was about to say the same thing, Collei-flower." I reply.
Pretttyyy punny joke if I do say so myself. *ba dum tssss* 

Tighnari nearly beat me up cause of that pun. Looks like he hates corny plant jokes, scratch that. I guess he despises them with a... burning passion... *ba dum tssss* 

I surely don't wanna be... pollen his leg right now... *ba dum tssss* 

...No? Not funny? Huh. It always worked when I had an audience! Well, anyways―

―After a few jokes and laughs, there were ten minutes left before class, so we had do go. Tighnari and I were talking while walking to class until I was bombarded by a whole STAMPEDE of girls all clamouring to talk to me. 

What psychos these girls are! They are all asking me out, giving me love letters, trying to get my number and some are even trying to kiss me here and there! Seriously, what is up with today?! Why did school decide to make my life hell today out of all the days in the goddamn year?!! 

...Oh yeah. Today's Valentine's day. Gross. 

Tighnari was acting suprisingly stern while interacting with the girls, telling them that I needed personal space and blah blah blah... Then I caught myself entranced by his voice yet again. I sorta wish I was the one getting scolded... haha...

wait, ew―
WHAT IS UP WITH TODAY?! WHY AM I ACTING ALL MUSHY?!? CMON! THIS SCHOOL IS CRACKED FOR MAKIN ME THINK THIS KINDA GARBAGE!!! 

The day flew by quickly, thank the archons for that. 

"Nari, can I visit your house today or tomorrow?"

What is up with me?! Asking stuff I wouldn't normally ask, and somehow experiencing abnormal events?! Like getting jealous at the thought of him with other girls??? How his words and actions start make me feel some sorta weird way???

...Valentine's day really is... gross. 

"S-sure!" Tighnari replied with uncertainty in his voice, while sweating all of a sudden. 

You could've just said no, Nari. I wouldn't have minded; yet I'm sorta.. glad he agreed. I'm... excited to visit his house. Must be full of plants judging by how much of a botany geek he is. Maybe he'd have other cool stuff in there too.

...Maybe I could get to see his new TCG deck as well... He did promise we'd play together the next time we meet outside of school. 

We agreed at 5:00 pm till 8:00 pm 'cause late afternoon hangouts are fun okay? Let me have this. Today was exhausting, and I wanted something normal to help me forget how chaotic the school day was.
Maybe create something better to remember instead, y'know?

Once I got home, I told my mom that I was going out and went to my room to get changed. 

Nari told me his address beforehand of course, and I wanted to make a good impression by planning to show up early. The stress got to me 'cause I didn't want to be late, so I ran. Half good half bad idea I guess, I made it there at 4:45. I arrived out of breath and sweating heavily. Yeesh. 

At 5:00, I knocked on the door, and someone answered.
It uh... wasn't Tighnari. He had fennec fox ears like him yet his hair was longer and he was a grown up. Must be his dad. It was pretty funny how Tighnari quickly shooed away his father and let me in. 

Collei and someone else were waiting inside, yet that other person was my cousin, Candace. When she's there, it's impossible for me not to tell my favorite joke. It's a... habit. 

"This is Candace," Tighnari said, introducing me to Candace.
We are cousins, no need for introductions! 

"Candace? More like.. CANDEEZ NUTS FIT IN YOUR MO-" Before I could even finish, Candace stood up and punched me hard. Quite unlike her, haha. Tighnari was ready to beat me up again then and there while Collei was watching this circus performance go down; sweating nervously.
Goodness gracious, why should I be their punching bag outta all people!?!? 

We kept on chatting and laughing, and there were a few more moments of me getting beat to a pulp. Owch. 

It was a fun time, and just like I guessed, there were a lot of plants. Lots of them. Even his closet was filled with um... plants. Don't ask. 

It was a pretty chaotic day, yet it was also fun. Seriously though, my body aches like hell. Candace's punches had no mercy on me.
Let's hope that tomorrow will be better.

I'm so sorry I wasn't able to post! I wanna crawl up in a ball and cry rn cause I wasn't able to give you CynoNari chapters! But anyway, thx for all the views and overwhelming support!
