"Hey

Are you ignoring me?"

"No. I just want to take these shots while the sun is giving this beautiful light."

"Hey, no no no, what are you doing, focus on that cloud, don't lose that amazing scene." I heard him say from a few steps behind me while I tried to focus my camera on the sunrise without losing my balance from the waves hitting my legs.

The water was cold and sharper with every wave hitting me.

My mind was clouded with all the thoughts from last night. Photographing was supposed to distract me and make me do something useful with my mind while the cold water was the perfect punishment for thinking so much about some things.

"Come on the sand your legs will fall off, you have enough shots" he yelled from the shore

"All the photographers are saying that the waves look so much better when the wind is blowing harder. Like the sea tried to tell us something and we didn't listen, and now she is yelling the story at us, scolding us like a mother because we didn't listen. The water has its own memory. What you think?" I asked while focusing my camera on the sea.

"I think this is very poetic but it's time to go Iris'' I heard him pleading this time in the water next to me.

"We did not agree on it like this." I said as a reproach still concentrating on my camera and taking photos of the panorama in front of us

"Look look!, take o photo of that bird it would look nice." He pointed at the sky changing the subject while I did what he said.

While focusing the shot on a small bird flying right above the horizon line I felt a cold pair of lips pressing on the side of my head. As fast as I could think, the feeling was gone.

I put the camera strap around my head while looking right in his eyes

"You don't have to do this, really" I said, starting to walk away still in the cold water.

"No, yes, I do, I'm sorry, he, my brother, was right, I was an asshole yesterday."

"You know, even if I don't look like it, I am used to assholes. I was born and raised in the suburbs''

"I'm sorry, that wasn't me"

"It was your twin brother indeed" I said sarcastically focusing my camera on the view again

"Lead by alcohol as always" He said laughing slightly.

"And even I-"

"I would really like to shot some scenes in this light" I interrupted him

He looked in my eyes and gestured for me to go do what I needed while he walked away.

My mind was too cluttered with everything that happened last night. Every second, every breath, every bottle of alcohol shattered on the walls of the room, everything.

"Hey" He yelled from a few steps away "if your feet wont fall off soon, the rest of us are waiting for you at the car, come directly there, I took your luggage" and with that he left.

After a few moments I turned around and caught a picture of him looking somewhere far out at sea with his hands in his pockets kicking the sand.
