October had us all stressing out, we had to hand in tons of projects, and also the fall gala was right around the corner, taking place the 30th, right before Halloween night, which I had heard was a big event in town.

Kacey, Maeve and I had decided to take a break from homework, so we decided to sit on a bench on the back gardens of Helheim. It was starting to get cold outside, the trees had changed colors and now they were covered by orange, red and yellow leaves that kept falling down. The landscape was beautiful.

-Do you think he ever got over her? -asked Kacey, bringing me back to reality.

-Not completely no- answered Maeve.

-Who? -I questioned.

-Elio- responded Kacey, and as I followed their gaze I realized they were staring at the Greek boy who was sitting next to Kaden by the water fountain, both were laughing at something.

-Huh? - I inquired again confused.

-Elio and Kaden used to date- said Kacey.

-What? When? - I asked startled, and Maeve laughed at me.

-Back when we first started middle school, it didn't last long to be honest, I dare say it was just a fling, Elio was as much of a heart breaker as he is now, however, in my opinion he fell in love with her later, as we grew older- explained Maeve reminiscing.

-What about Nox? I thought he and Kaden...- I retorted.

-She had a crush on him for forever, but as her brother's best friend he was off limits for a while. Yet, Nox has always had things clear, if he didn't make a move before Elio was out of respect for Killian. Nonetheless he waited patiently for the right time, they didn't become official until high school- explicated the redhead- It's similar to the situation between Amelie and Killian-

-Amelie and Killian?!- I cried out.

-Amelie and Killian were the most toxic couple I have ever known, if Imani hadn't come into picture they probably would have killed each other, but I got to give it to them, they lasted a couple of months more than Elio and Kaden- joked Maeve.

-Fucking bunch of psychos really...- commented Kacey disgusted- They probably secretly all hate each other-

I was too stunned to speak. Still, I knew that Kacey was wrong, I had seen firsthand the love they had for each other. I just hadn't guessed before that love was once different.

Killian was right, there are so many things I don't know yet.

The pair was shortly met by the rest of The Seven, so they went on walking back to the east wing. Like always it was an interesting group to look at, with a straight back, heads held high, wind blowing their hair, books in hand and fancy coats; as they moved people turned to stare and talked. They were individually attractive, but when together the allure they had was mind blowing.

Later that afternoon I decided to go looking for Amelie to the east wing, hoping that she'd be down to practice more our ballet choreography. I went up to her flat, but as I got close to the door I heard a discussion happening inside.

-That's not going to work! - cried out Imani- Have you all lost your minds?!-

Someone answered her but I couldn't figure out what they said, and I couldn't just stand there, so I ended up knocking. Everything went silent right before Amelie opened the door.

-Hey Soph- she greeted visibly uncomfortable.

-Is everything alright? -I questioned peering inside.

Kaden, Killian, Nox and Zian sat on the couch while Imani and Elio analyzed some papers on the table. They had also displayed a map of something on the ground.
