Deltarune one shots :3

The Confession <3 (Susie x Noelle, fluff,)

       Susie woke up in her bed on a normal autumn school day in hometown. She walks downstairs and grabs herself a bowl of already stale cereal. As she puts on a coat she notices Kris walking in the distance, and walks up to them.

"Hey uh Kris! You late too?" Susie half asked, she knew Kris' silence almost too well after being with them in the dark world for so long

"..." Kris kept silent, but slowed down a little to let Susie catch up as they walked to school together.

       Upon getting to class, she noticed Noelle taking notes and tried to avoid her. Susie had been slightly crushing on Noelle since their encounter but knew there was no way, especially after Noelle thinks it was all just a "bad dream", it would all be too awkward and confusing to explain.

"Ah Susie and Kris finally showing up!" Alyphs said sarcastically "that's detention for both of you"

"..."

"$!$? off.." She mumbled

They sat down and waited for their teacher to continue the lesson that they missed most of.

"Alright class, tonight's assignment is a group project! So everyone is randomly assigned a partner"

Susie stoped paying attention after the word "class", but her attention snapped back the second she heard her name

"And Noelle you will be paired with... Susie. Alright everyone that's it for today remember to turn in that assignment by-" a voice interrupted

"Excuse me but I think that a person of my intelligence is better suited to be with someone like Noelle! Susan is obviously not a good fit for
someone like her" Berdly said

"Yeah what he said, we gotta switch" Susie said, reluctantly. She really didn't want to switch partners, but getting too close to Noelle would just bring back these feelings she's been trying to avoid.

"I'm sorry what's final is final I don't make the rules. Anyways it's due by tomorrow so I better see it submitted!" with that, the bell rang and all the students paired up to study

"So um we should go to the library... right?" Noelle said

"Yeah whatever" Susie replied, purposely using an annoyed tone to convey the opposite of what she was truly feeling

As they got to the library they saw Berdly and his parter, then rushed to go the other way in order to look for the books they needed.

"I think these will work" she said, picking up a few textbooks

"Ok" Susie replied, very monotone. This put a slightly disappointed look on Noelles face but they quickly moved on and got a chair at the computers. It was a more private area with boarders that blocked them off from their classmates

"So what do you want to focus our project on?" Noelle opens up the textbook to the assigned pages

"I don't know that one I guess" She points to a spot on the page and Noelle closes the textbook

"Alright!"

They start doing research from the library computer and write down notes for the project. They sat there in silence for a little while studying. Noelle glanced at Susie a few times but quickly looked away in fear that she would catch her blushing. After about 45 minutes of studying someone finally spoke out about the awkwardness

"Look I've been trying to start conversations with you for this entire time and I'm pretty sick of you ignoring me! I know we don't know each other that well but I'm getting tired of this 'cool mean girl' persona! Why are you avoiding me?" Noelle said in an annoyed but concerned tone.

"I'm not trying to ignore you it's just..." Susie responded, uncomfortably

"What?!" Noelle started feeling a bit embarrassed and nervous for her response

"BECAUSE I LIKE YOU, NOELLE OK!" Susie Boomed and the entire library shot up. She sat straight up and covered her mouth shocked and extremely embarrassed. After sitting for a couple seconds (that felt like hours), still stiff in the same position, she ran away teary eyed and embarrassed. Noelle was still just sitting there, processing it, feeling a strange sense of relief before getting up and running after her.

"W-Wait!! Susie wait up!!" She exclaimed, running after her, tripping over herself as she ran.

Susie was disappointed not only in her actions, but in her feelings as well. She kept running until finding a quiet space to think, a stone fence in between two houses. She starts cleaning herself up and just thinks about how this will affect her social life and how she's going to explain this to others, especially Noelle. Everyone from school heard her embarrassing confession, and even though she doesn't usually care it's enough to embarrass anyone. As if she thought Noelle into existence, she ran right up to her

"Huh uh Hey" Noelle panted, breathing heavily from running so far.

"W-what are you doing here?" Susie said, panicked

"I followed you... obviously" She replied

"Look I-I'm so sorry I shouldn't have said that and I don't expect you to feel the same, or even want to talk to me after that. I'm sorry for embarrassing you."

"Hey hey no I um... I actually came here to tell you something." she paused for a moment, oddly nervous even though she knew Susie liked her back. She sat down on the same, kinda dirty, ledge. "I like you too!" She winced slightly before looking back at Susie
Susie was looking flustered and happy before looking saddened

"We... can't"

"W-what do you mean 'Cant'?!" Noelle was now tense, anxious, and confused

"We just can't I... I can't it's too much to explain"

"What do you mean?" She replied, touching Susie's hand slightly and leaning into her

"... I can't tell you. It's too much. Sorry"

"I can deal with that. I don't need to know everything"

"W-What?"

"Yeah you don't need to tell me if you don't want to, I can handle it" Noelle scoots closer to Susie and wipes her tears away

"I promise. Will you give me a chance?"

"Y-Yes!" Susie hugs her and smiles, Noelle tightens up a little in surprise, but goes in for a hug anyways. After they pull away, they start to hold hands, awkwardly holding hands as they look away from each other out of shyness.
