Two years of school together. Two years of dance together. Two years of friendship.

After two years of being Hyunjin's friend, one would think that Felix could be absolutely sure how he felt about him. The problem was that Felix thought that exact thing.

Throughout the two years, Felix had enjoyed every moment they spent together. Whether they were in class, practicing at the dance studio, studying, or even getting food together, Felix always enjoyed Hyunjin's company. In moments where he truly appreciated Hyunjin, his mind would sometimes slip thoughts into his head. These thoughts ranged anywhere from 'he looks really pretty today' to 'i wonder how he would react if i kissed him right now' to 'why doesn't he see that he could be happier if he dated me instead?' but, of course, he ignored these thoughts. He was fairly certain he didn't have a crush of any sort on Hyunjin, so he figured they were probably fleeting thoughts.

Intimacy was common between the two, as well. They were known to hug often, to hold hands when walking from place to place, and kissing each other's hands was common. None of their friends even flinched at the sight after a few months.

...

"Felix, guess what!" Hyunjin ran into the dance studio that morning, full of all kinds of nervous energy. His practice bag was barely on his shoulder by the time he skidded to a halt.

"Seungmin called you a noodle again?"

Hyunjin's expression changed from excitement to one of impatience as he whined, "C'mon, Lix! This is serious"

Felix paused his stretching, and gave Hyunjin his full attention.

"I think I like someone!" Hyunjin giggled out.

The first thought to enter Felix's head was 'here we go again'.

Hyunjin was known to have questionable (read concerning) taste. No matter how many times he is warned, he can't be persuaded not to pursue someone he sets his mind on. Once, he had met someone online through a mutual friend. Everyone except him was skeptical of the situation, and when Hyunjin found out she was ten years older than she had told him, he was devastated. Another time, he had fallen for a certified player who had promised Hyunjin he was a changed man. Hyunjin was cheated on through the three months they were together. So, Felix's concerns were quite reasonable.

"Oh, really? Who is it this time?" he sighs out, not bothering to hide his worry from the other.

A smile grows wide on Hyunjin's face before he answers, "Taesung, the one from our finance class!"

Racking his brain to put a face to the name, Felix finally remembers. Taesung is a pretty quiet guy, and his social circle is small. Felix doesn't know of anything noteworthy about him, good or bad. He figures it's better than usual, and the only emotion he cares to name is relief. Maybe Hyunjin finally fell for someone halfway decent?

Hyunjin is staring at Felix expectantly, as if wanting to know what he thinks.

"Don't take this the wrong way, but... why? You guys don't talk to each other, and he's pretty quiet."

Thinking over his answer, Hyunjin decides, "I don't want to tell you! It's too embarrassing."

Felix stares at him in disbelief for a few seconds before closing his eyes and taking a deep breath. "Okay, Jinnie. You don't have to tell me, but you know that's a really annoying habit of yours, right? It never ends up being a big deal."
