Nicolas was a no nonsense man.

He ran his company with an iron fist but that backfired a few days ago

Of course he wanted to sue all involved but his lawyers and advisors thought it best to show the media and public they were wrong.

The solution. Don't fire anyone for small things. If they did there job keep them, even if he found them annoying.

And not fire them for bringing the wrong coffee. Apparently the most recent one that got fired was so pissed it started a chain of events that led to his name being not only feared like he wanted it but apparently the media were describing it as a awful place to work. Now he wouldn't mind but he was loosing business over it.

So he decided unless his new assistant fucks up big time he would keep the person longer than a month.

So that led him to hold interviews. Usually he had the hiring managers do that, he didn't care as long as the person hired did their job. He had no time to socialise with random employees. So he barely knew any of their names.

Since he was keeping this one around longer he decided to conduct the interviews himself.

Several miles away a young woman was hurriedly hiding her latest bruises, she got another beating last night and it had been bad. She had finally convinced her boyfriend to allow her a job. There was plenty of rejection. And maybe that's why he agreed because he saw how upset she was when she got rejected. Today she had managed to secure one at the top company in New York, if not the world.

It was a well known fact, Nicolas Reynolds had businesses all over the world, his headquarters in New York. She didn't know how she managed to get a interview for such a prestigious company but she did.

She hurriedly left the small apartment passing her boyfriend who was passed out on the couch. He had gotten drunk. Another reason he let her get a job, because there would be more money for his alcohol and drugs.

As she made her way to the company. She had no idea that her life was about to change.

But before it got better , it would get worse.
