As both layed on the bed, staring at the ceiling in boredom, the brunette rolled to his side lazily only to be pulled backwards by hands that had snaked around his waist.
"Chuuya, let go, I'm not going anywhere!" The brunette whined. His mate had a habit of being clingy when bored. The ginger only gave a mumble of inaudible words before grabbing onto the other tighter.
Dazai sighed as he gave up trying to persuade the other to let go so he just relaxed into temperature bed mattress.
However, he was suddenly pulled up, he grunted as he glared at the ginger, "What are you doin-" He was cut off with the other's hand clapped over his mouth. His eyes widened when he caught a glimpse of Chuuya having a cold stare towards the window as of glaring at something non existent.
Being a vampire gave the ginger the ability to sense approaching figures or dangers faster than humans or immortals could. The brunette felt Chuuya arms loosen before he was forcefully turned to face the ginger, his legs each beside the ginger's waist.
"Be quiet." Chuuya demanded softly which the brunette rolled his eyes at.
He pried the other's hand off his mouth before whispering, "You don't have to tell me."
The ginger raised a brow, an argument was going to erupt but there wasn't any time to let them bicker as the ginger's eyes widened when he saws something from from outside the window.
Suddenly, a crash was heard as the object broke the glass and entered the bedroom. The duo quickly got off the bed, racing towards the door that was closed by purple smoke emitted from the foreign object, enveloping the whole room. The brunette and ginger went back to back so as to not lose each other.
"What does we do?" The brunette coughed slightly as the ginger grit his teeth. The smoke was thick, not allowing either of them to see.
The brunette pushed the ginger down into a squatting position, "Stay low." He muttered to the other as he could faintly see the other nodding.
With that, using the thick smoke to their advantage, they attacked the men who entered through the window and door.
Sensing someone behind him, the ginger quickly stood up, wrapping his fingers around the person's neck, squeezing it enough for the other to black out and lose consciousness.
Dazai, however, took the dagger on the table opposite of the bed and slashed quickly, happy that he hit something, hearing excruciating screams.
He dodged the random punch in the air, probably from one of the men who resulted to randomly attacking, hoping to hit someone. Dazai smirked as he brought the dagger down, successfully hitting what he felt as the head of the men. A thud was heard but he felt his heart drop when he smelled a sickening sweet smell. He quickly dropped the dagger and covered his mouth and nose.
Chuuya who seemed to have smelled it too, eyes widened as he quickly tried finding the other in the smoke. However, before he could reach for Dazai's wrist, he heard a thud from opposite of him. He felt cold sweat trickle down his forehead. He could only try his best to sense his mate but the sweet smell and smoke were interrupting his sense. He grit his teeth, when he heard mutters of the men retreating. He clenched his fists when the thick smoke finally dispersed, leaving him in the room alone. The coldness of the air sent shivers down his spine. He failed to protect the other. He had no idea who the men that barged into their apartment were working for. Glancing at the multiple dead bodies, his eyes turned to face the men he knocked unconscious, the only one most probably still alive. Eyes flashing red, he approached the unconscious man.
---
When the brunette finally came to, Dazai heard the screeching sound of a chair as he glanced to the side. A raven haired who had kneeled down beside him, smirked. He flipped open a pocket knife, forcefully taking the other's arm in his arms. It was only then did the taller realised his bandages were gone. The brunette yanked his arm back but he only felt that his arm lost all his strength as soon as he raised it. The other sighed, pulling the brunette's arm, not hesitating to drag the blade across the ivory skin, blood immediately spilling out of the new wound. Dazai winced, his eyes eyeing the new wound, he mustn't worry.
Like always, the wound healed up, the slice wound disappearing leaving only blood trailing down and dripping off his elbow. The raven's eyes lit up with glee as he exclaimed, "You are an immortal." The brunette's eyes widened when he saw the other stab his own hand before letting his tongue lick up the remaining blood on Dazai's arm. The raven haired only watched as his own stab wound healed up immediately. He smiled menacingly.
He twisted a few brunette locks around his fingernbefore pushing it behind Dazai's ear. The raven haired glanced at the brunette who's eyes were narrowed but his body stiff.
"I guess the benzene worked."
The brunette bit his lip. Benzene, fatal to humans but to immortals, it makes them either lose concious or become very weak. He remembered the sickening sweet smell entering his nostrils as he grimaced. It wasn't a smell he liked, it was ineffective on vampires so Chuuya didn't get knocked out.
Dazai's eyes followed the raven haired as the other walked from the bed and places the dagger on the nightstand next to the bed he was lying on.
As if noticing the brunette's many questions, the rvane haired smiled as he said, "You immortals went extinct centuries ago and I had no hope in finding one ever again. Seems like luck is on my side this time." He glanced at the brunette who had was glaring at him, the raven haired chuckled.
"Dazai Osamu, am I right?"
The brunette didn't nod nor did he give any reaction, he just glared at the other who once again kneeled down beside him.
"Mori Ogai, vampire, leader of the shadow clan."
