Crossing the divide

Chapter three

Lilly's POV
I decided to sneak out and go to school. No one was up yet which was good for me. I flew all the way there. I saw my teacher and asked them not to tell my sister I was here. I ran into Toby at lunch and decided to sit with him, Raven, and EJ.
"Hi guys", I said. Raven looks at me a little strange.
"Aren't you suppose to be home right now? Your sister is gonna start looking for you, and will track you down to school." She replied. I nodded looking down knowing my wound was already healed but my sister has always wanted me to be at home. She would keep me there every chance she got. I looked up but they gave me a look of concern.

"We'll keep you safe, and at school for as long as we can. You're pretty cool so it's the least we can do for ya." EJ and Toby said in sync. I smiled and wanted to hug Toby. Raven hugged EJ as if to say thanks to him. Both of them were blushing really bad. I giggled a bit, but didn't mind them hugging in front of me. It was okay for two pastas to hug each other but if a SN (abbreviation for Supernatural I just came up with) were to hug a pasta that would be a big no no based on the policy we all agreed to. Toby grabbed my hand from under the table as if to say it'll be okay. I smiled at the thought of us being friends. I sighed and decided to ask.
"Hey guys" I said as they looked at me, " are we friends?" I continued trying to figure it out. They nodded yes and I smiled in response. We all walked to the pool. Rave and I walked into the locker room. I got changed as she did but I didn't know that my wings weren't out not hiding my birthmark.

Raven's POV
What the heck? Is that a tattoo or birthmark. They look like wings to me. I'll ask her about it.
"Hey Lilly. Is that a birthmark or tattoo?" I asked her.
She sighed and replied, "It's a birthmark. It's so big and I hate it but that's where my wings come out from. If you look closely you'll see little thin slots that's where they are. That's why my sister keeps me at home but we need to get into the pool though."

We got out there and walked into the pool. She started to swim around. She looked so graceful as she swam. It's like she already knew how to swim. That's when Jane pulled her under. I swam over and stomped on her wrist. She let Lilly go and came up really angry. I was too and she could tell since my eyes changed from blue to autumn. When I saw EJ though the changed to a moonlight color. I knew I was crushing on him but he didn't know. Lilly grinned at me which meant she knew I was crushing on him. Her eyes, I never noticed till now, were two different colors. The right eye was red and the left was a pale sea green. We all got out and after changing I walked her to the line.
"You like EJ, don't you?" She asked. A blush formed on my face and my eyes were still moonlight blue.
"N-no I'm not!" I yelled at her.
"Oh yeah? Well then I guess that blush and eye color say different." She said crossing the like, "see ya after school" she said running to class. I nodded. Yeah see ya. I thought trying not to admit it but she was right I did like him. They went back to normal blue finally after a whole class period.

I was in my killing basics class outside while she was in Flying 101. She looked so peaceful but Jane threw her knife. Lilly avoided it with ease and used some sort of magic to throw a purple arrow like thing at her but it didn't really hit her. But the bullets she was throwing at her using this magenta pentagram that was floating behind her did hit Jane twice. She didn't get detention cause that's what she was supposed to do and Jane was in the way of the targets she was using too. I had to admit Lilly is pretty powerful and cool. I was starting to get a little scared but knew she would never hurt me cause that's what she said. After school I let her fly me again after that month, but this time I held onto her hands. Okay this is freaking awesome! I thought laughing.
"This is so cool! How do you not like this?!" I yelled laughing. She set me down and walked in with me.
"I guess it's cause I'm more powerful than Remilia is and it scares me to know that I'm better than her." She said. We talked for a while. She went home and I played on my Xbox one. I wonder what tomorrow holds for us since it's finally the weekend and I invited Lilly to hang out with me and the others. I thought defeating the boss level in Soul Calibar Lost Swords. It was late and something came crashing through the window. I grabbed my knife and went upstairs. I kicked the door open and ran in knife raised when I heard a scream coming from the middle of the room. I flipped on the light to see the vampire with a hurt wing. I knew her in an instant.
"LILLY?!! What the heck are you doing here?!" I asked a little shocked at the sight of my friend on the floor.
"Please let me stay the night. At least till my sister forgives me. She found out and well wanted to make it so I couldn't get to school. So please let me stay. " She begged me. I nodded and set her up a little bed on the couch. She went to bed as I started to treat the cut on her wing. I made a slight patch and a sling so it would hurt less. I gently closed that wing up and put the sling like thing in her. I told her it'd have to stay like that a while but she went to bed regardless. I went up to my room and passed out as soon as my head hit the pillow.
