Girlfriend was walking around a park one day trying to calm her self down after what happened with her parents earlier that day.
Until she bumped into someone that would change the rest of her life.
I open my eyes and turn off my alarm. I just lay in bed for a bit, just thinking about what has been going on in my life recently. There was one name that immediately came to mind.
Boyfriend.
It's now been a few months since I've met him. The dinner with him and my family went pretty well, we messaged each other almost every day, and we hangout at least 4-5 times a week.
Everything between us has been going amazing, but then why do I feel like I want more out of what we got right now. Of course I know fucking why, it's because I want to be with him. I want to be his lover, but I'm still just too scared to tell him how I truly feel.
Like, what if I tell him and he says he doesn't feel the same. That would probably end up ruining the friendship we've had for the past months. It's too risky.
I then heard a ringing noise come from my phone. I turned it on to see that Boyfriend texted me.

Boyfriend: Good morning Girlfriend.
Girlfriend: Good morning, how'd you sleep?
Boyfriend: Pretty well, just one small issue is all.
Girlfriend: What is it?
Boyfriend: The AC just broke down at my house. It's boiling hot over here.
Girlfriend: Damn, that must suck.
Boyfriend: Yeah, and the repair guy won't be here till the end of the day.
Girlfriend: If you want, I could come over and get you through this boiling hot day lol.
Boyfriend: That would be very appreciated.
Girlfriend: Okay, omw.

Well, looks like I've got plans for today now. I get out of my bed and head to my closet where I proceeded to take off my pajamas and put on a new outfit I got yesterday.

I then head out the house (without my parents noticing me) and go to Boyfriend's place. About 15 minutes later, I get to his house. I head up to his door and knock on it.
When he opens it though, he's.... S-SHIRTLESS! This obviously caused me to blush immediately. I noticed that he had a six pack and I just couldn't stop looking away. I know it's weird, but I couldn't control myself okay!
"Hey Girlfriend, come on in." He said letting me in. I came out of my trance and walked inside with Boyfriend, him closing the door after.
Right when I went inside, I could immediately feel the normal weather that I was feeling just a few seconds ago now feel like I was in a dessert. He really wasn't kidding when he said it was hot here.
"You see how bad it is now?" Boyfriend said while still panting a bit from how hot it was. I nodded while looking away with my face still being in its flustered.
3rd Person POV
Boyfriend was confused for a second until he remembered that he was shirtless. "Oh, sorry for not wearing any shirt. It was just so hot in here that I had to take it off." He said scratching the back of his head and chuckled a bit after saying it.
Yeah, that didn't stop her from being a flustered mess, but it did reassure her a little bit. Or at least enough to say an actual sentence. "I-it's fine, I don't blame you since it is really hot in here." She said chuckling a bit after as well.
"So, you want to play video games or something until the repair man comes by?" He ask while pointing at his PS5. "S-sure, that sounds like it would be fun." She responded. "Cool, I'll go get the snacks very quick. You just get comfortable on the couch." He says as he walks to the kitchen to get a snack.
She nodded again and sat down on the couch, waiting for Boyfriend to come back. 'Please, please, please don't do anything weird Girlfriend. He's just your friend........ that's shirtless....... and is really buff....... and was kinda sex- AAAHHHHH!!!!! Stop thinking about him like that.' She thinks while having an argument with her stupid brain for thinking of something like that. It wasn't wrong, but still, she thought it was embarrassing to think of him like that when they weren't even a couple, especially when she's at his own house.
Boyfriend eventually came back with some chips and drinks for them as well as a shirt on now. He set them down and sat on the left hand side of Girlfriend with her still blushing. "Got the snacks, what game do you wanna play?" Boyfriend asked which snapped Girlfriend out of another trance that she was in.
"O-oh, any co-op games would be f-fun." She responded while still stuttering a bit. Boyfriend nodded and got up from the couch to find a co-op game as well as turn on the PS5. After he turned it on he chose the first co-op game he could find and inserted the disk. He sat back on the couch and gave Girlfriend an extra controller he had while they watched the game start to boot up.
A bit of time passed and they have been playing the game for about 30 minutes now with everything going well, except that Girlfriend was not doing as good as she usually does when playing games. She wasn't a master at games or anything, but you'd be surprised to see that she is actually really good still. Boyfriend noticed and looked over to her to see that she wasn't paying too much attention to the game.
He then paused it and turned to her with Girlfriend doing the same. "Is something wrong, you don't seem to be that focused. You know you can tell me anything." Boyfriend said to her. She wanted to tell him the truth, that she was in love with him, but the fear of rejection and losing him was too much of a risk.
So, she lied.
"Oh, I'm just thinking about my parents is all." She said while fake chucking. "Oh, okay. Are they still being strict on you?"
"Yeah, it's a bit annoying." She said, not lying about how they were annoying, but lying how that was the reason she wasn't focused. "Hey, if they ever start to annoy you, you can always just come over here and hangout with me." He said while sincerely smiling at her.
When she saw that sincere smile, she completely forgot about all these feelings she has felt and smiled back. "Thank you Boyfriend." She said going in for a hug which he accepted.
She can deal with these feelings later, right now she just wants to hang out with her best friend. And that's what they did. For the next couple hours, they kept playing the game, cooked some lunch, and continued to talk to each other about anything.
Girlfriend was happy to finally not have to worry about these feelings and just act normal around Boyfriend. But she knew that she still had huge feelings for him. She just needed to wait for the right time to confess them.
She would wait as long as she needed, as long as Boyfriend needed.
