Cheong-san freezes, eyes filled with terror. "You just killed-"

"Give me the phone!" Gwi-nam yells, swinging the knife in the air.

I duck down and try to pull Cheong-san down with me. Cheong-san didn't duck properly though, so when he stands back up to not lose his balance, Gwi-nam kicks his knee.

He falls on his back and accidentally lets go of the phone, it landing next to him. Gwi-nam approaches the phone and just as he's about to bend down to get it, Cheong-san tackles him and they land onto the table.

I grab the phone shoving it in one of my pockets. I slam the door open, "Cheong-san, let's go!"

He rushes to push himself up, trying to not lose his balance again and we head out. We just run. I don't know where, I'm just following Cheong-san. I look back just in time to see Gwi-nam stab a zombie in the neck.

"He brought the knife with him." I warn, sprinting behind Cheong-san. "Shit. Get in front of me," he grabs my hand, ready to slow down a bit.

Before he does, I hear a sharp sound and something hits me in the back. It sends a sharp pain down and up my spine but I continue to run. "Fuck," I curse.

My legs are about to give out. Or maybe just the left one.

"Cheong-san," I give him the phone. "Take it and don't stop running no matter what. Okay?"

"Stay next to me. Don't go anywhwere. I promised Su-hyeok I'd bring you back."

I shove him once we reach the library. "You shouldn't have made that promise. I got bitten, dumbass. Now, go."

He stops for a second, "But Eun-ji was-"

"Go!"

He wipes the sweat off his brow and nods, running off. Good, that's done. Easier than I expected, too.

But I feel like I'm forgetting something.

"Y/n," someone grabs my shoulder. I jump and turn around, "Gwi-nam. Holy shit, you scared me."

He digs his nails into my shoulder, "Why? Cause you were running away from me?"

I inwardly wince, feeling the painful sting in my collarbone come back. "Oh. Well, technically, I wasn't running away. I was helping Cheong-san run away."

Too smart.

"Then, tell me where the hell he went."

Oh.

"Well-"

"Nevermind. I see him." He pulls me along with him. "Come on. Climb up on the bookshelf."

He gets on and pushes off a kid. I hop on the table and he helps me get up fully.

I look at him with wide eyes. He raises an eyebrow, "What?"

"Dumbass." I frown, "That was my math tutor. I am so gonna fail now."

He scoffs, "That's one of the least important things right now. And stop pouting at me."

Now it's my turn to scoff. "Fuck you. I'm not pouting."

Suddenly, he jumps off, his fatass shaking the whole the bookshelf. I grab onto the sides of it so I won't completely lose my balance, but ultimately fail.

I fall on top of several books, landing on my right side. I clutch my ribs, trying to get the oxygen back into my lungs without injuring myself further.

Is my rib broken?

Shit, that doesn't matter. Where are Cheong-san and Gwi-nam?

I stand to hopefully get a better view. Okay, I think I spotted Cheong-san. He's on a bookshelf a little farther away from Gwi-nam.
