Elvis arrived to set with two hours to spare, not wanting to risk being late to set again after what Parker had said to him last time. He and his co stars were preparing to shoot a scene on the beach when the director saw that the little girl playing Alice wasn't feeling well and had her sent home with her parents for the day and announced to everyone that they'd have to cancel shooting the beach scenes he had planned for the day and would reschedule it for tomorrow
Jerry was holding Olivia from where he was sitting in a chair a few feet away from where the director was talking to the film crew, cradling the little Presley who was rather content in her uncle Jerry's arms as she struggled to stay awake
Elvis got an idea and approached the producer. "Can we use Olivia as a stand in for Alice?" He suggested in hopes that they could resume filming for the day
"That's a great idea! Get the little squirt ready, cameras will start rolling in five minutes."
And with that, Elvis hurried to his best friend and carefully took the drowsy infant from him before rushing over to a spot on the hot sandy beach where Alice's character was supposed to be. He hoped they'd be able to get the footage they needed on the first take so he could take his little girl off of the scorching sand. They did a few takes for the scenes the director needed and called it a day as the temperature started to rise and make the Florida humidity worse
Elvis sprinted over to Olivia who giggled at being picked up off of the sand by her dad, showing him a gummy smile
"Aww, look at you looking like a little grandma." Elvis cooed sweetly at the innocent child and carried her back to his trailer to change out of his wardrobe and remove his makeup. Priscilla was sitting in a chair, studying for an exam she had to take in order to catch up with the rest of the class for the next semester. Elvis had given Olivia to Priscilla while he changed out of his clothes and wiped his dirty sweaty face with a cloth, glancing over at the door when Red came into the trailer
"Hey E, you up for going into town tonight for some fun?" Red leaned against the wall right beside the door
"I don't think so, I'm a little tired and I need to feed Olivia." Elvis answered him while he spruced up his hair, double checking his work in the mirror
"I thought you wouldn't go. Like how you didn't show up at my wedding?" Red sneered with a roll of his eyes, pushing himself away from the wall and turning towards the trailer door at seeing Sonny poke his head inside to check on Red
"Look man, I told you I couldn't go. How many times do I have to apologize that my daughter comes first now?" Elvis looked at him in the mirror and pointed his index finger at the reflection of his so called friend
"Calm down, E. No need to be an ass about it." Sonny butted in on the conversation
"Yeah. Having a kid in your life is making you soft. Seriously El, you can't let that change you." Red got a bit snippy with him before leaving, Sonny trailing after his cousin
Elvis shook his head and muttered some things underneath his breath, approaching Cilla and taking Olivia who was now fast asleep due to being exhausted from the heat. Elvis went back to the hotel with his girls to relax for the rest of the day though it was hard for him to do since he couldn't sit still for too long like the antsy man he was, most people who were close to him and knew Elvis well would say that he had ADHD. Olivia eventually woke up from her short nap in the evening though she still felt a little tired, acting grumpy towards her father when he fed her a bottle of milk that she reluctantly drank. Afterwards, Elvis had changed her diaper and got her ready for bed but Olivia wasn't having any of it as she fussed and carried like a stubborn little stinker. She began to calm down when her dad started to sing to her which was now becoming part of her bedtime routine
