"Mornin'." Elvis yawned as he made his way into the dining room of his hillcrest house, sitting at his usual spot at the head of the table, Julia lowering herself down beside him to his left

"Morning? It's almost afternoon." Charlie laughed at noticing how tired his friend still was from having another insomnia fit, taking a sip of his iced tea

Olivia glanced over at her parents from where she was placed at the table, munching on her sandwich and a few chips. She particularly didn't care for her father's second house he had here in California though it was still home regardless if they were only staying here so he could finish filming his last movie

"You seem to look better after last night when you said you felt under the weather." Patsy said to Julia who nodded at her boyfriend's cousin

"That's not the only thing she was under." Lamar sneered, gasps and laughter erupting at the table from the adults. The child simply rolled her eyes at their immaturity

"Shut your mouth, you big oaf. There's a kid here." Elvis shot him a glare, picking up a grape off of his plate and tossing it at him. "Eat something healthy, Lord knows you need it."

Once they all had a filling lunch, Elvis had gone to the living room area to relax but was stopped by Olivia as she tapped him on the leg before running off to the back of the house, "you're it!" She shrieked

Did he have the energy to chase after her?

No

Did he do it anyway?

Yes

He turned around and took off after his child, running around the large house that was more spacious than Graceland. Olivia was cornered when the sliding door to the backyard was unknowingly locked, glancing over her shoulder at the black haired man

"No where to run, kid." He smirked

Olivia ran towards Elvis and ducked through his parted legs, making a run for the upstairs. As she turned the corner, the little girl bumped into Charlie and fell down hard on the carpeted floor

"Papa!" She cried, immediately being scooped up by her dad who was quick to comfort her. "Do- does this mean I- I'm it?" She sniffled and wiped at her face. Kids could be so mysterious with their sudden shifts in mood. "No, I'll let it slide this time, baby." Elvis answered her, setting her down once she seemed to be feeling better. In an instant she took off running again and Elvis followed, snatching her as she attempted to run up the stairs

"The daddy monster got ya!" He growled, lifting her up above his head as she shrieked in protest

"Daddy, I can't get down!"

"Is that so?"

He flinched in surprise at the kid being so bold as to bite his wrist in order for him to put her down. "I'll bite back." He warned, refraining herself from digging her teeth into his sensitive skin again. "What's the password?"

"Ugh! I don't know!"

"That's fine, I can stand here all day."

"Um...I love you?"

"I love you...."

"Because?"

Elvis lowered her down and just when she thought he would let her go, he turned the child into a cradling position in his arms and pressed his lips against the fabric of her rose pink dress on her tummy, Olivia throwing a laughing fit at the ticklish feeling of her dad blowing on her stomach

"Daddy!!!" She shrieked, kicking her feet and patting him on the shoulder

Elvis looked at her with widened eyes, his eyebrows pushed together. "Daddy's not here." He said in a gruff tone, earning a giggle from the child
