It was the next day, and Marinette's excitement had reached its peak.
She bounced around her room, her heart fluttering with anticipation. She tidied up the space, ensuring everything was perfect for her cousin's arrival.
"Tikki, can you believe it? He's going to be here soon!" Marinette exclaimed, her voice filled with pure joy.
Tikki hovered nearby, sharing in her excitement. "I know, Marinette! It's going to be such a special day. I can feel the positive energy in the air."
Marinette nodded eagerly, her eyes shining with happiness. "It's been so long since we've seen each other. We used to have the most incredible adventures together."
Tikki floated closer, a reassuring presence by Marinette's side. "I'm sure Vy is just as excited to see you. Family bonds are precious, and the joy of reuniting after a long time is truly special."
Marinette took a deep breath, trying to calm her racing heart. "I hope Vy likes it here in Paris. It's such a vibrant and unique city."
Tikki nodded, understanding her concerns. "Paris has a way of capturing people's hearts. Its beauty, culture, and charm are irresistible. I have a feeling Vy will be enchanted by everything this city has to offer."
Marinette smiled, feeling reassured by Tikki's words. "You're right, Tikki. I'll show Kaze all the wonderful places and introduce him to our amazing friends. I want him to feel at home here."
Tikki's eyes sparkled with encouragement. "I have no doubt that you'll make him feel welcome and create lasting memories together."
Marinette's excitement bubbled up once again, and she couldn't help but twirl around the room. "Thank you, Tikki. I'm so grateful to have you as my partner and confidante. Together, we'll make Vy's visit unforgettable."
Two hours passed before Marinette finally heard her mothers call.
Without a moment's hesitation, she practically flew down the stairs, eager to reunite with her cousin Kaze. And there he was, standing with his parents, her uncle and aunt, in the living room.
"Kaze!" Marinette exclaimed, her voice filled with joy as she ran towards him, her arms outstretched for a warm embrace.
"Bracing for impact in 3,2,1!"
Kaze caught her in a tight embrace, lifting her off her feet for a brief moment before setting her down.
Their parents chuckled at their exuberance, enjoying the sight of their children reconnecting.
Marinette's heart swelled with joy as she looked at her cousin Kaze standing before her. The years had passed since they last saw each other, but the connection they shared remained as strong as ever. She couldn't contain her excitement and hugged him tightly once again.
Marinette's mother, Sabine, approached them with a warm smile. "Welcome to Paris, Kaze. We're so glad to have you here."
Kaze returned her smile, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "Thank you, Aunt Sabine. It's a pleasure to finally be here and see Marinette again. She's told me so much about this beautiful city."
Marinette's father, Tom, clapped him on the shoulder. "We're happy to have you as part of our family for this visit. We've missed having you around, Kaze."
Kaze nodded, his gratitude evident in his voice. "I've missed being here too, Uncle Tom. I can't wait to catch up with Marinette and create new memories together."
Marinette's uncle and aunt exchanged warm greetings with her parents, and the room filled with a sense of joy and familiarity. Marinette couldn't contain her excitement, and she grabbed Kaze's hand, leading him towards her cozy room.
